FUN (remember fun?): I literally wrote the book (well, a book) on fun: google my name (when I tell you) & fun. Besides creative fun/play, i love singing cole porter, bway tunes, and dancing (ECS and salsa, but want to learn WCS and relearn Lindy if my next mate is so inclined.)
PERSONALITY: hi energy (in case you didn't figure that out), but sleep like a log (don't snore either) but love to meditate; playful, creative, generous with my time, services, caring, empathy, but owing to exigencies of my Internet startup (ironically , to help couples succeed), not with money yet, empathetic (Student of nvc) inquisitive, playful, mission driven, but also driven to meet my mate’s most important couple relationship needs (because i want my 2nd marriage or LTR to be my last!); political activist too.
INTEGRITY/Honesty: It's two way street. Both parties have to be strong enough and nondefensive enough to handle the truth. Mates start being dishonest out of fear of their mate's reaction. I'm Monogamous (and can prove it). All but one former gf are refs.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION model or system, DEEPEST DREAMS/SHARED COMMON HIGHER PURPOSE: [Isn't it odd that no matchmaking site asks this pretty critical question?]
I don't believe in the soulmate myth, but do believe that both mates be on the same page re the above 3 important things (there are actually 7 according to the leading expert, Gottman.)
Re conflict/anger/frustration: I really like lots about NVC (see baynvc.org), nonviolent communications , but also open to learning and already aware of other strategies. Reminds me of a fun first date game i invented called Probematize this! I like improv.
RE COMMON HIGHER PURPOSE: (see last quote below). My own higher purpose: to do the greatest good for greatest number;and my fav strategies: public funding of elections/ Move To Amend, and return to paper ballots (stop electronic stealing of elections). Without these reforms little else can be accomplished imho.
OTHER PASSIONS besides dancing and singing: Camping, wanna go to Madagascar and also see Mountain Gorrilas, and also diving, canoeing/camping during peak fall colors, reading you poems & stories in bed or bookstore coffee shops, massaging you; (happy just to cuddle)…yes, a real mista vonderful. Gaga for nature; being of service to those most in need; will try anything twice; ask me
The ECONOMIC: house-poor: I own my own nice home in Grass Valley in No Calif on yearround stream, but don't live there. Currently engrossed as nonpaid ceo in struggle to get 2nd round funding for my startup called couplewise dot com, that could prevent oceans of suffering in the world and generate lots of $ for social justice causes. Should know soon if we get funding again.
We will be making digitally available to all couples regardless of economic class, the most effective couple therapeutic tools --the wisdom of the best experts and the wisest couples--to help them communicate better, handle conflicts constructively, have more fun, make and keep agreements, etc. We were seedfunded about a year ago. So would need a mate who admires social venture entrepreneurs, at least romantic ones. (Have been success in most of my prior ventures.)
EDUCATION and ROOTS: Loved my parents and visa versa. Was very lucky, and they had nearly 30yr marriage before dad died. PhD psychologist, UC Berkeley; Masters from Harvard, BA from Reed; but longest career was as filmmaker. As long as you have lots of curiosity, you could be totally self educated for all I care. I would have proposed to Norma Rae in a heartbeat.

PHYSICAL: almost 5’8", 148 lbs, work out regularly, excellent physical condition, love to exercise, almost all relatives live in late 90s & 100s;won't be getting alzeimers or dimentia; no cancer on either side. vegetarian
MARRIAGE & KIDS Status: divorced in 2000, single far toooo long. & never had my own kids, but helped raise two with one woman (who is still one of my dearest friends, & another one with another woman, also still close friend; feel that the anti-nuke films i made in the 80s helped to save the lives of millions of kids; great with most kids, since i love to play and invent games kids love.
