My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Also open to Petaluma, Marin , Berkeley, and San Francisco, EastBay, san rafael, even Grass Valley people. Happy to move anywhere for the right woman. So read as much as you wish. I won't be offended if you only read a paragraph or two.

So here's the deal: I'm all the usual adjectivos (hablo Espanol tambien) all the guys say they are. But to prove it, you can google me (happy to give you my name once we establish enough common values) and even talk to an ex gf or two, if and when i trust and like you enough, and I can do the same.
What really makes me different, I think (and a big reason I suspect I am single, is my dedication to creating a Great, not just good marriage or committed relationship (see Tolstoy quote below).

I also love to dance (WCS, ECS, and salsa), sing (show tunes, acapella, etc), hike, and of course stay fit. So being intensely alive is probably another thing that scares away most Americans.
I run almost daily. With permission, I am very physically affectionate, romantic. And never any drama, unless we're playing improv games, which i love. (I even wrote a book of many original, free, and easy to do improv, as well as mental and physical games.)

My main passion in life has always been to make our world better--tikkun olam-- to fight for justice against injustice for ordinary people, especially the poor --to do the greatest good for the greatest number, while having fun too. So I'm proud to say I'm an activist; feminist and playful too.

I consider "organizing" the highest art form, because it does the most good. So hope you don't mind activist social venture entrepreneur types (who are also romantic and can make the relationship a priority).

I love cooking great meals too, am great with kids (that above mentioned book was hugely popular with single moms), offer a few other nice surprises women love. In fact, more than one of my ex gfs have said i'd make a great wife.

MAKING RELATIONSHIPS WORK: And I now know a thing or two (due to my work/my startup passion, as well as mistakes i made when i married and with a former gf) about how to nurture and grow love, into NVC--ie [nonviolent communications], 5 languages of love, Gottman's 7 Principles, etc.

OTHER PASSIONS besides dancing]] and singing and fighting [injustice: travel to Madagascar or best diving scuba locations, seeing Mountain Gorrillas, and also canoeing during peak fall colors, bookstore coffee shops, poetry, massaging …Gaga for nature; being of service to those most in need; will try anything twice--adventurous

ECONOMICS: I am economically stable, own own home Grass Valley on year-round stream; but keep searching if you are looking for a guy to wine and dine you

VALUES express by some FAVORITE QUOTES that communicate my values:

"Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage" (Anais Nin).
"Life is a daring adventure, or it's nothing at all." (Helen Keller)
"Love consists more in looking together in the same direction than looking each other in the eye" (St.Exupery)

"The difference between a good marriage & a great one is that in the latter each mate gives the other the same as in a good marriage, but in addition, each helps the other bring more truth, justice, &/or courage into the world.” (Tolstoy /GK) Lotsa points if you resonate with this one.

I've been married; divorced 15 years ago. I've raised other women's kids (they--the women and their kids are refs) and I like most kids.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am founder/head psychologist chief content officer for a social venture Internet startup, and i will bet you a nice dinner that you will find it absolutely fascinating, since it is arguably about the most important need in life after food and water and good health.
Former lives: successful investigative doc filmmaker (many PBS credits and awards)/ journalist, fundraiser, psychologist, and published author. So I am happy to help you in any of those pursuits if you need the help.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
creativity, listening, loyalty, being a friend, cuddling, love making, being a cheerleader; being a playmate, massage giver; co-creator of a better world; step parent or grand parent; win win out of the box solutions. All my ex's would definitely agree that with me, you'l never be bored.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
my eyes and smile or my intensity; good listener; my curiosity (one of the reasons i am still single in fact); I can, however, be very calm and turn off the intensity when not appropriate; but i do have the energy of an energy bunny (is that what they are called?)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

sense i am making a difference or at least on a path that could make a huge difference
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the fact that we have the incredible yet frightening UNIQUE privilege and challenge of being the only generation in the history of our species that can save the planet as we know it--our mother; how best to do that--smarter ways to organize and grow a movement; my own startup--smartest way to find investor(s) soon for my startup, finding more talent--other cofounders, couple therapy and the user experience, how to be more efficient
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If not out dancing, then working to help other couples succeed. After all one thing better than achieving a long lasting happy marriage myself is being able to repair and save tens of thousands of others. Sometimes watching an inspiring or hilarious movie with a friend
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have about 5lbs around my tummy i am dying to get rid of, and i fudged my age, because the above age is closer to the truth than what pops into people's heads when i give the chronological age (68), because most people cannot believe my real age and insist i am at least 15yrs younger, plus almost all my relatives live vibrantly to late 90s, and 100s (without any alzeimers on either side or even cancer), and i've got way more energy than most 20-30 somethings. But i gots to be honest. Skype me first if you want to check me out ahead to see if i'm worth the risk.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Any of the following 4 categories apply: 1) you think we have enough in common to be good friends, especially share a common higher purpose, can be supportive of my activism, OR:
2) you like matchmaking (being a true friend to your single friends), since if we are not a fit, i will matchmake for you if you will matchmake for me, (I offer very generous reward, btw, if it works out); OR 3) if we might be able to help each other make the world better in some significant way, OR 4) you'd simply be interested in a dancing, singing (or songwriting) or silly play activity partner.

IF you live in SEBASTOPOL, it would be a big plus if your work or family took you to Marin often (though as mentioned, I can move anywhere for the right person)
