doctorate in music at UNCG. I enjoy music, watching or playing

I'm attempting to get back into the dating world after a period of reflection. I really want to find the right person for me and settle down. I've not had much success dating recently, but I'm hoping that OKC will break my current trend.

What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently a doctorate student in music at UNCG. I also am an owner of a small
business in the area that repairs musical instruments. I also am an
active performer throughout the US, having performed in WA, MO, KS,
OK, GA, NY, PA and many other places.
I’m really good at
my instrument, teaching students, being a good listener and friend,
as well as talking to people and making new friends. I also enjoy
cooking for people, travel, and entertaining.
Several of the things I'm not good at are lying, breaking the law, smoking, cheating on women, speaking French or getting my brain to shut off sometimes. I've usually got way too much going on up there!

That I'm really open and honest and that I have great eyes and when
I smile, it's truly a nice smile. I hope that people once they get
to know me realize how warm and helpful I am to my friends.

Favorite TV Shows: King of the Hill, Family Guy, Law &
Order, Law & Order SVU, Simpsons, SportsCenter, Good Eats, anything on
the Food Network, Mythbusters, Deadliest Catch, No Reservations and
Bizarre Foods.
Favorite Movies: The Princess Bride, Borat, Hancock, Iron Man, Anchorman, The Simpsons Movie, Major League 1 & 2, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Mr. Holland's Opus. I usually enjoy most movies though.
Favorite Music: Basically anything from classical to 80's rock and most everything in between. I don't really like country and rap, but there are some of those that I enjoy as well.
No books on here. I know, I just don't really read for enjoyment anymore. Three degrees have sucked the love of reading for me. I did enjoy Friday Night Lights and the Harry Potter series, but I've not done much reading for enjoyment since.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Currently, it's all about the stuff I've got to learn for my
classes. That's really it. When I am in school mode, I'm usually
thinking about what I can do to get my students to perform better.
I also like to think about the past and to learn from it. I'm not
trying to over-analyze it, I just think if we focus on the present
and learn from the past, the future is going to be great!
I've been spending a lot of time thinking about life. I don't meant to come across as having narcissistic tendencies, but I do think I am a great guy. I've got a big heart, treat people right, and really am a special human being. What do people not see in me?

On a typical Friday night I am
Either out with my friends doing something in this wonderful area,
or at home, catching up on my studies and relaxing. I generally
prefer nights in, cuddling up and communicating with that special
someone, but for now, going out and seeing all of the great things
in this town is fantastic!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
That I play the tuba. Judge all you want, but this is what I was
born to do. I absolutely love it and will never stop playing my
instrument.
