What I’m doing with my life
Not doing anything with my life and vice-verse. Although I try to be a bit more amicable toward it than it to me.

I’m really good at
distinguishing between information and data (science),
converting animals into kinetic energy and ideas,
failing to distinguish between information and data (conversation),
wasting time doing online quizzes in the results of which I've nothing invested,

...(list is non-exhaustive)

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies - from stuff with explosions and large robots all the way through to New German Cinema. I particularly enjoyed: Being John Malkovich, Fight Club, Heimat, Wings of Desire, Pulp Fiction, The American Friend, O Lucky Man and - testimony to my lack of sophistication - the entire Star Trek Franchise (yes, even V: The Final Frontier, though on second thoughts, probably not X: Nemesis)

TV - Star Trek (mainly TNG and Voyager), IT Crowd (actually, anything with Christopher Morris in it), South Park, Peep Show, Extras, Top Gear, Monty Python (or anything funny with Pythons in it), Big Train, Happy Tree Friends, Jackass, MXC, etc.

Music - British Sea Power, Radiohead, Kraftwerk, Boxer Rebellion, Kasabian, Go Team, MGMT, Cut Copy, Sisters of Mercy, The Smiths, Laibach, Fields of the Nephilim, Some Gabba/Terrorcore, Playradioplay! Owl City, Bondage Faeries, Killers, Dizzee Rascal, and many more.

Books - I don't read much fiction (apart from the odd Steven Fry novel). Prefer non-fiction, particularly if it relates to my work. I really am a barrel of laughs.

However, just in case I've come across too much as a boorish oik, I'll give an example of my favourite piece of poetry from which, no doubt, you'll induce an hypothesis on my literary tastes.

There once was a limerick by me
that didn't rhyme at all.
It didn't have the two lines in the middle that are much shorter than the others.
There was no scansion.
That limerick by me.
And there was one line too many.
(author: M.Smith and G.Rhys-Jones)

Food - oh yes please! Unless I'm doing hard sums, in which case I sometimes forget.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
nasty things. And sometimes somewhat less nasty things. And also stuff related to sex or work (both of which, to be honest, usually fall into one of the former categories anyway).

I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 20-50
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
you realise I'm not in this for the dating (at the moment) and will probably not reply. Not for trying to be rude though, but out of a pathological tendency to procrastinate and a bizarre social phobia that makes online correspondence with me almost impossible (even for my closest friends and relatives).

Better to friend me on Facebook - for some reason, I'm a little bit better on that forum.
