Movies - from stuff with explosions and large robots all the way
through to New German Cinema. I particularly enjoyed: Being John
Malkovich, Fight Club, Heimat, Wings of Desire, Pulp Fiction, The
American Friend, O Lucky Man and - testimony to my lack of
sophistication - the entire Star Trek Franchise (yes, even V: The
Final Frontier, though on second thoughts, probably not X:
Nemesis)
TV - Star Trek (mainly TNG and Voyager), Always Sunny, Warehouse
13, Haven, IT Crowd (actually, anything with Christopher Morris in
it), South Park, Peep Show, Extras, Top Gear, Monty Python (or
anything funny with Pythons in it), Big Train, Happy Tree Friends,
Jackass, MXC, etc.
Music - eclectic. Indie (Radiohead, British Sea Power, Red Light
Company), dreampop (Purity Ring, Memoryhouse, Youth Lagoon,
Porcelein Raft etc), bands with triangles in their names (youu know
who you are), some electronic (Kraftwerk, Gary Numan, Cut Copy,
Playradioplay) some Goth (Sisters, Neph), some black metal, noisy
inustrial/ebm, gabba. While I enjoy opera, I'm also down with my
yardies. Ok, I'm totally not, but have been known to tap the old
feet to (early) Dizzee Rascall and Lady Sov.
Books - I don't read much fiction (apart from the odd Steven Fry
novel). Prefer non-fiction, particularly if it relates to my work.
I really am a barrel of laughs.
However, just in case I've come across too much as a boorish oik,
I'll give an example of my favourite piece of poetry from which, no
doubt, you'll induce an hypothesis on my literary tastes.
There once was a limerick by me
that didn't rhyme at all.
It didn't have the two lines in the middle that are much shorter
than the others.
There was no scansion.
That limerick by me.
And there was one line too many.

Food - oh yes please! Unless I'm doing hard sums, in which case I
sometimes forget.
