I'm from Iceland. Have lived in the great city of New York for 5+ years now and not going anywhere.

Love a good debate, will debate anything. I love to get a new perspective on things.

Am trying to exploit all the fun opportunities New York. Just finished my first photography course. Anybody like photography? Looking for the next thing.

Last but not least I am a genuinely good person trying to make (and learning to make) the world a better place a step at a time.

Just out of grad school and starting my work-life for real. I chose to study finance so I am stuck being a banker in the post-"bankers are cool"-world. I guess I'll just have to charm on my good looks and great personality then.

Making sense of things, making strange faces. Oh, and whistling. I just found out that there is such a thing as the World Whistling Championship. It would be an awesome nerd-cred to have competed in that (I dare not think of winning).

Movies: The awesome 1994 oscar trio of Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction and Shawshank Redemption, all very different but great in their way. Office Space, Die Hard, Goodfellas, As Good as It Gets, Monty Python's Life of Brian.

Books: I like history based novels like "New York: the novel". Great book, especially after living in the city for some years. Roots is similar in structure and a great book. Recent good reads: The White Tiger, "Lamb - the gospel according to Biff, Jesus' childhood friend", Catch-22 and A Farewell to Arms was good in a sad way.

TV shows: Seinfeld, Family guy, Breaking bad, The Wire, The Office (UK and USA versions), Seinfeld, Arrested development, Game of Thrones, 30 Rock, Californication and oh Seinfeld.

Music: All kinds of stuff. Prince, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, Blur, Pulp, Johnny Cash (The American albums), Black Keys. Then I must confess to being a bit of a sucker for the 80s. I am trying to acquire some music skills of my own, I try to play the piano and ukulele. Plus I love karaoke. I don't even need one drink to start singing my throat sore.

Food: I love food. Medium rare filet mignon au poivre rarely goes wrong. Love good hot wings with blue cheese dressing, thank you, Buffalo! Ethiopean, mexican, bring it on.

Family and friends, goes without saying, but apart from that:

Filet mignon
Spring, it is such a great season
A ball, preferably a soccer ball
Comedy and general funniness
A nice and comfortable bed, there is just so much you can do with it
Karaoke
