My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm the duuude! Kind of a wanderer, at least I like to. I suppose having relocated so much has made me enjoy, if not seek out travelling as much as possible. I am pretty easy going and amicable and have a colorful past that I sometimes think should be written about, comically. I like every sport I've ever come across with basketball, trail running and beach volleyball being my top three positive vices at the moment.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently began working at an upstart language learning/software/training company and I volunteer teaching ESL to refugees and as a big brother. I'm considering becoming a teacher full time, the thought of teaching abroad tickles me, so that's my plan B if I start feeling complacent here, but my new job will likely require that a travel quite a bit. I like to keep up with current events, I'm an international conflict and energy security sponge and I'm a pretty avid reader. Otherwise, I am very much prone to being outside, preferably in the sun and ideally near mountains and water.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a pretty good cook and like it spicy and my ribs are on point. I shoot a decent game of pool, play a serious game of chess and scrabble and can throw any object with great accuracy. I do make a lot jokes, about everything and they make me laugh so they can't be all that bad. I'm really good at yelling in German, shooting jumpers, fixing computers and other stuff, getting a little giddy around animals, and am a very accomplished wandering ponderer. And perhaps most of all, I have somehow developed an innate irrational impetus to injure my two big toes, I don't know what I did to the universe to deserve it, but it is a reality through which I suffer.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not so self serving that I ask people that. But, if I was to guess... my absurdly long arms perhaps, or my neanderthalesque pertruding furrowed eyebrows and exaggerated under-bite. Or my inadvertent guttural developments. Who knows.

Anything from Christopher Hitchens and Noam Chompsky, oohh and Dave Sedaris and Dave Barry too. Mark Twain's humor isn't lost on me either. Currently reading Benny Lewis' polyglottery book, and language stuff articles and posts.
Kevin Smith, Wes Anderson Broken Lizard, and some of Mel Brooks' movies will always have a place in my heart (especially Spaceballs and Men in Tights). I can always appreciate a movie for not being formulaic, even if it has other serious shortcomings. I love scary movies, but then I can usually put them together with comedies.
TV shows include: Sons of Anarchy, The Inbetweeners, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, The League, Farscape, Shameless, Ultimate Fighter, Spartacus, MI5, Blue Mountain State, Top Gear, Venture Brothers, Breaking Bad, Freaks and Geeks, Battlestar Galactica, The Wire.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What the hell I'm gonna do the rest of my life! where I will run next. Politics, conflict and culture. How to become a better teacher. How to fix things going bad in my car. Meeting someone new and meeting someone old.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I typically assume the fetal position, tuck my legs in and wrap my arms around them and tuck my head down, cuz that's just how I roll!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I found some grey hairs in my beard... aaaand in my chest hair
