My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello, stranger! So, you’re looking to make a connection with another human being, but you decided to choose this impersonal meat-market to do it? Well, at least we have that in common.

Recently, I've been dabbling in backpacking, camping, and running. As for indoor activities, I like going to a good concert, playing card/board games, or just watching my shows. I have been known to throw a dinner party on occasion.

I'm looking for a classy, stylish, and independent woman who is a little artsy, a little crafty, and a little (or a lot) nerdy. I hope that you keep yourself aware of social and political issues, and that you try to live conscientiously with regard to your ecological footprint. I hope that you enjoy the arts and the outdoors, and are open to people with differing lifestyles. I'm open to people with differing lifestyles, so if this doesn't perfectly describe you, it's okay. I think it's often more important to get along well than it is to have the same hobbies or interests.

I really enjoy cooking, but it’s hard to get too worked up about it when I’m the only person benefiting from my labors. Do you like eating delicious food? Do you like making delicious food? If you answered yes to either or both of those questions, it’s possible that we could have great fun together in the kitchen!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Maybe it was the naiveté of youth, or maybe I was just caught up in the exuberance of the boom years, but I decided to start out my adult education with an art degree (photography). I love the experience I had, but making a living as a photographer these days is only somewhat more likely than winning the lottery. After taking a break for a while, I’m back in school with the goal of becoming a software engineer. I want to build our future robot overlords!

I consider myself in school still, but I'm actually taking a break right now. I'm going to return to school in the fall, but I have the spring and summer to focus on moving the rest of my life forward a little bit and exploring some possibilities I'd been neglecting previously.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
As previously mentioned, I'm not bad with a camera. However, my focus (har har) has shifted to working on my new direction (programming/computer science).

I enjoy cooking, especially breakfast. I love pancakes, waffles, omelets, French toast, etc. I’ll eat breakfast any time of day! I may be somewhat less well-versed in my dinner dishes, (pasta is a staple) but I love trying new recipes and improvising on old ones.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I won't bore you with an exhaustive list of every musician, movie, TV show, or book that I've ever enjoyed. That would be a waste of an evening for you and me! Here's a few important ones for each category.

Music: Jonathan Coulton, Portishead, Daft Punk, and Billie Holiday.

Books: Anything by Isaac Asimov, The Perks of Being a Wallflower,(Stephen Chbosky), Whirlwind (James Clavell), Jailbird (Kurt Vonnegut).

Movies: Sin City, City of God, Fight Club, Sunshine.

TV: The Wire, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, Firefly, The Daily Show/Colbert Report (Yes, both of these have ended, but I can't bring myself to remove them yet).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order, I need the following six things in order to support my first world lifestyle!

1. Smartphone
2. Friends
3. NPR
4. Bicycle
5. Kitchen
6. Coffee
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not actually human. I am a flesh and bone facsimile that adequately resembles a human form. underneath my fleshy exterior, however, there is a brain of silicon and a heart of steel.
