My friend told me that it's hard to write about yourself - she was right. Instead of telling you what I say about me (which is bound to sound sardonic or self boasting) I'll tell you how others describe me.

- As a guys's gal. This means I love to hang out for a BBQ & beers, can talk shop with the best of them but... still like it when you hold the door open for me.
- I'm sarcastic & funny. My dry sense of humor combined with my witty pop culture references have people laughing. Or scratching their head.
- I love sports. I'm not one of those women who claim to like sports to seem well rounded. Chicago sports - to know and love.

I read a lot of fiction but my favorite book is The Devil in the White City. Fantastic book!!

Remember that sense of humor I talked about above? Favorite movie is So I Married an Axe Murderer. Close second is The Ref. Also love movies like Donnie Darko, Magnolia, Buffalo '66, Waking Life and Requiem for a Dream. Love movies - mainly comedies, horror, and independent films.

Favorite shows include the usuals - Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Homeland, 30 Rock, Parks & Rec, Survivor - Friday Night Lights may be the greatest series of all time...and I'll begrudgingly admit I watch a lot of reality but hey, it's a hazard of my profession!!! I have to know about human behavior!!

I love music and have eclectic taste. Yeah yeah I know EVERYONE says that so I'll just name a few favorites - Steely Dan, Beastie Boys, Radiohead, Frank Zappa, Rod Stewart (yes that Rod Stewart), Allen Toussaint, and Pink Floyd.

I eat almost everything but my favorite is Italian.
