My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My future is wide open….is yours?

I laugh easily and so will you when we meet. After many years in DC, i retain the slightest southern accent. Although I have a southern heritage, I now consider myself to be an urban and urbane woman - not that others always do. I'm a country club gal but not a country club type. At the end of the day, having led a life that mattered is important to me.

Visual and performing arts, sharing easy time with friends and family, indie movies, good books, dancing and listening to just about any genre of music, working out at the gym, exploring the awesome outdoors, spirited, intelligent, probing conversation with a fun and sexy man ...and intimate, breath-taking, tender moments ....are the essential components of my multiple-layered life. Only missing you... But I am confident you are out there.

Professionally, I have been very lucky. Right place, right time. I've had the opportunity to "change the world" at the same time I was rewarded in ways I would have never anticipated when I arrived in DC in 1982.

What about you... what interests you, makes your heart race, brings a smile, a tear? I want to know you, explore your edges and curves, discover our shared interests and differences. As Van Morrison says: I've been searching a long time for someone exactly like you.

I believe we find the love we deserve when we place the happiness of our partner above our own. I am ready for a fun and meaningful relationship. Let me know if you sense we'd enjoy getting to know one another.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I try to have an adventure every day. That may sound trite, but adventures are so abundant in this wonderful city of ours, it would be a shame not to have at least one everyday. my motto is "if not now, when?" Love my job, have the nicest friends on earth and my two children (26 and 22) amaze me everyday. I left Chevy Chase and Moved to Adams Morgan a year ago, i am exhilarated by the changes in our awesome city.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening. Sharing. Making almost any activity fun. Baking killer cookies. Being a friend, lover, mom.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Too many favorite books to name - but if I had to choose a book to read again it would be Shanatram. Enjoy movies and see anything and everything. Theater (Fringe to Broadway) can't get too much. Live concerts - Vegas Lounge, KC, 9:30, Howard U, Merriweather, Verizon, Hamilton, Wolftrap, Birchmere - experimental to traditional - rap - blues, jazz, rock, gospel, R & B, opera, symphony - constantly evolving tastes and interests -- Fred Astair to Jack White to Lil Wayne to new strong tenors and of course Van the Man. Favorite movies - way too many to name but when I am surfing through the TV and find Chinatown, Almost Famous, 500 Days of Summer, Advise and Consent, and To Kill a Mockingbird I always stop and watch again. Food - spicy, creative, Southern, fresh, healthy, dives to 5 star.....enjoy a good game - football, basketball, tennis, golf and hockey!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Love, passion, grace....My children (both graduated from college and grad school and successfully on their own) are not things or possessions but they make it all worthwhile). Friends, music, books, news, sunny days, rainy days, intellectual stimulation, the touch of someone I care about, intimate connection.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the origins of the universe and what i want to eat for dinner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dining, dancing, listening to music or going to a movie with friends. I go out to recharge after a busy week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I once did a cheer for Elvis in his penthouse in Las Vegas.
