Some who talked to him called him a catch, the others were afraid to talk to him or said he was mysterious because of the "vibe" he gave off. He was okay with this because it weeded out the weaker ones. He enjoyed a woman with confidence. A woman who didn't make her final judgement in a mirror because it didn't decide how sexy she was. Sex appeal was in her body language and her wit when she walked out that door.
Maybe he'd be in the bookstore (not likely since he doesn't read much), maybe he'd be in the store, maybe the bar or maybe even the dum dum dum. Local panera bread. (Shrieking noises.)
Whatever the case he's got more to offer than she could ever imagine. He is chivalrous. He is strong. He can protect her. He can hold the door for her and not because she's pretty, (because he holds doors for grannies and kids alike) he's a goddamn gentleman AND a scholar. He won't prove you wrong but he will teach you things and keep you on your toes. Most of all....he'll make you laugh till the day youre watching reruns on your daisy flower couch contemplating which restaurant you'll grab coffee at the next day because you're so far gone into retirement you can't focus anymore.
He's not somebody you used to know, he's not somebody your mother read to you in a disney fairytale, he's rare, he's hard to get, but he's worth it. I'd say he's me but you're expecting that. But come to think about it, Im not Stephen King so if I can't write worth a damn....who else could it be?
