I am absolutely, positively, and wait, what?.

My Self-Summary

Troublemaker in the truest form, sense of humor on my sleeve, sass and shenanigans for miles; Loyal as can be, able to drive a conversation or take a comfortable shotgun, phone is always on, never too busy or asleep for a friend; Good for a drink, distraction, a walk or a ride home, and if you're down I'm always game for making a fool of myself for a smile, and sometimes I just feel the need to dance like a monkey. Mall patrons beware.

I enjoy a lot of indoor sports and activities, such as pool, poker, darts, bowling, and outdoor as well, I try to get into a volleyball or soccer or softball league when I can work it around my schedule, and kickball is always better when you need to protect your beer while catching a ball. I'm kind of a nerd when it comes to my car and computer, but I figure that's kind of a good thing, and there are worse hobbies to have, except when people panic and call you to fix theirs. I've been practicing some form of martial arts or another all my life, and after graduating with my BS and opening up some free time, I dove back into Taekwondo, and its one of the best things I've ever done for myself. Nothing beats the stress relief of a good workout, or a sweat inducing session behind the drums though.

I also enjoy movies out and in, dining and cooking, and have a weakness for music and certain cartoons, but nothing beats a good conversation as far as I'm concerned. Every now and then my friends and I end up out at the bars or clubs, but I usually end up driving, I rarely have more than two drinks unless we're hanging out someplace where we'll crash anyways. I'm under the firm belief that I have a (lack of) drinking problem. I really need to drink more. Mayhaps you should be a bad influence on me. I text message constantly, except when I'm talking to somebody face to face, they always get priority, just for putting the effort through to being there in person. Just seems polite. There are more fun ways to be rude.

In any case, AIM = Blizzardel. Don't hesitate.

Oh yeah, and I'm something of a night owl, its a terrible habit, but don't be surprised to see me putzing around at 3am and beyond on a regular basis. Side effect of an architecture degree, such is life.

What I’m doing with my life

Moving on up, to the east side... or something. Master's student: Architecture. I guess that means I'm going to be an architect when I grow up. Debating the PhD. We'll see what the winds bring.

I’m really good at

All sorts of things. I figure anything worth trying is something worth doing right. I'm kind of a jack-of-all-trades I guess.

Apparently I was told this is a shitty answer. But then the person who said so isn't good at anything, so their answer sucks too. LIES! ALL LIES! :-P Nothing but love for ya. You know who you are. Pain in my ass. :-)

If I had to itemize my life however. I'd say I'm better than your average bear at:

Holding up my end of a conversation
Shooting pool
Kicking things
Oversleeping
Procrastinating laundry
Wasting sketchbook pages
Irreverence
Night-owling
Wasting time
Letting the things that truly don't matter, slide
Cutting through bullshit
Procrastinating things other than laundry
MacGyvering inexpensive and shoddy solutions to common mechanical problems
Throwing lunchmeat at strangers (medium-length, entertaining story)
Computer-ey stuff
Breaking shiny things
General Monkeybusiness

The first things people usually notice about me

Probably my sense of humor, I really wear it out on my sleeve. When I'm with good people my troublemaker side tends to come out, but its all in good fun, never cruel. Beyond that, they tend to notice whether or not I'm wearing really, really, REALLY shiny pants. But then that's usually very easy to notice. Actually... I don't own any shiny pants. But I do have pajamas that look like they're actually bluejeans. I've been tempted to wear them out and about, but I always decide against it.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books:I, Strahd by P N Elrod, Fight Club and Diary by Chuck Palahniuk, Ender's Game (and its series) by Orson Scott Card, Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach, Principia Discordia (by Steve Jackson, et al), The Book of Nod (also a cast of authors), H2G2 series by Douglas Adams, Napalm and Silly Putty, Brain Droppings, and When Will Jesus Bring the Porkchops by George Carlin. Incomplete list for now. And I also highly recommend reading a newspaper now and then, so that one might know whats going on around the world, if one's mindful to dissect their way through the propaganda.

Movies: American Beauty, Fight Club, The Usual Suspects, Cool Hand Luke, The Shawshank Redemption, American History X, Snatch, Full Metal Jacket, Donnie Darko, Office Space, Oceans Eleven (Both the Rat Pack original, and the remakes and sequels), Se7en, Shrek, The Blade Series, Chasing Amy, The Boondock Saints, John Carpenter's Vampires, Labrynth, Hook, Pulp Fiction, Saw, Kill Bill(s), Memento, Bubba Ho-tep, The Red Violin, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Transformers, The Man Without a Face, August Rush, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Hudson Hawk, and just about anything that would be classified as "Hong Kong Cinema"... you know, crazy martial arts flicks... I'm a sucker.

Music: Tortured Soul, Chuck Love, NIN, Frank Sinatra, A Perfect Circle, Stabbing Westward, Collective Soul, Dispatch, Tool, Oakenfold, Girl Talk, Tiesto, Breaking Benjamin, Matisyahu, Earth Wind and Fire, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Santana, Eric Clapton, Sound Force Sector 9, Tech N9ne, Ludacris, Outkast, Metallica, Queen... Basically Alt-rock on the heavier side, industrial, house, electronica, and some old solid good stuff, with a smattering of everything else, plus a bunch I'm leaving out.

Food: There is very little I DON'T like. My favorite restaurant is chinese though, down in chinatown, Chicago. Take the red line to Cermak, hop off, its on the corner of the building between the pagodas, called Ken-Kee. Order the sizzling black pepper beef tenderloin, calamari, and a peach smoothie. Trust me. (Unless you have something against eating cow or squid. But then everything on that menu is good.

The six things I could never do without

Hmm... family, friends, bed, car, caffeine and a smattering of electronic gizmos... in no particular order.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Would being able to fly be cooler or not as cool as being able to teleport?

Are we really in the matrix?

If I close my eyes and disbelieve, can I make certain people just go away?

How long can I procrastinate before it starts to negatively affect the outcome of my life?

Am I the only person who has ever said the word "oinkly" aloud?

Whether or not this profile will do me any good in sorting you fine folk out into the two important piles of 1) People that think I'm completely fucking nuts but that its awesome and want to talk to me... or 2) People who aren't fine folk.

On a typical Friday night I am

Spending time out and about with one or many of my favorite people. Does you has?

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Ooooh. Shiny.

Oh yeah, and...

I think Reese Witherspoon is really gross.

You should message me if

You want to know what its like to dance with the devil in the pale moonlight.

Or if you just want to say hi and take turns amusing each other, maybe even at the same time. Spooky.
