My self-summary
Fortunate to have been able to enjoy the beauty of the Earth both from above, and on the ground so often while I was flying a Boeing 727 airliner before my super profitable airline suddenly closed when the parent company merged. People who rarely take vacations out of the country are missing out. To actually watch a Pit Viper taking a nap on a huge leaf in Costa Rica, take a canopy tour above a tropical rainforest, watch a feisty Praying Mantis repeatedly throw punches towards me when I moved too close (have pictures), listen to a live mariachi band while eating a great meal in Cozumel, play peek a boo with a lobster I named Marvin (four days in a row and I'm not sure which one of us had more fun) - he would repeatedly very slowly walk out of his cave, carefully peer / peek around the corner, then suddenly jump straight up in the water when he saw me, and scurry back inside, reminding me of Charlie Chaplin as he quickly scampered, and I still swear he was smiling), and see the Panama Canal, as they say, is priceless. I've flown over the Grand Canyon over a thousand times, and it is still breathtaking.

Firmly believe laughter is the best medicine. I once made a female airline pilot sitting next to me in the cabin laugh so hard (both of us in uniform), she wet her pants while snorting after a flight attendant walked up asking if she needed assistance. Apparently, from behind the laughter looked as though she was having a seizure, and the snorting made the attendant think she couldn't breathe! The pilot then whispered into my ear "I just wet my pants"! That started another laughter cycle. Worse yet, she then requested I look at her posterior and the airplane seat as she leaned forward so I could see how wet things looked. After sitting back against the seat, she asked how things looked. Being truthful, I emphatically said quite good! Then we both cracked up yet again.

I'm supportive of human and animal rights. Yes, we do need to care about both our people, and those in other countries. I have little tolerance for those who abuse women, children and animals.

Often am involved with home improvement projects (mine and others). Just finishing my complete kitchen redo including knocking out a wall, installing the wood floor (no laminate for me), cabinets, plumbing, and electrical...did everything myself except for the granite counter tops. Somewhat an Italian theme with two tumbled marble murals, one Venice, the other the Amalfi Coast with spotlights. The pride of doing something yourself and then appreciating the aesthetics seem to be a lost art for many this day in age.
What I’m doing with my life
Thinking positive thoughts while crossing my fingers in cyberspace between breaks of attempting to make copious quantities of lemonade. My brand new contact lens scratched my eye in October, 2011 (small scratch), I stupidly let tap water touch it, and I've been in a battle since then.
I’m really good at
Home improvement / fixing things / making things.
Weighing factors and making decisions.
Giving massages and having deep two way conversations.
Quick wit (often quite dry, although the female pilot might not agree with this description). I love seeing delayed reactions!
Coming up with out of the box solutions.
Having empathy and helping others.
The first things people usually notice about me
My deep voice, politeness, good grammar, blue eyes, and white teeth.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Just read The Secret. It would be great if what it says is even halfway true! Currently reading The Three-Minute Meditator. I'm becoming more interested in meditation and would like to begin to explore yoga. Care to give some instruction or learn together? I'm also reading Journey of Souls; it's quite the interesting book.

I really enjoy movies. Favorites: Shawshank Redemption, What Dreams May Come, Frequency, Meet Joe Black, Green Card, Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Somewhere in Time, The Natural, Love Actually, Goodwill Hunting, the Bourne series, Office Space, Groundhog Day, Forest Gump, Serendipity, What About Bob, Stuck on You, The Truman Show, Dumb and Dumber, Bedazzled, A Christmas Story (watch it every year), Thor, The Avengers. Lately, I've been watching more independent, low budget films on streaming Netflix, and am really enjoying them. So refreshingly simple, yet powerful.

TV: Criminal Minds, The Big Bang Theory, do it yourself shows. The Twilight Zone, especially the episode To Serve Man.

Favorite foods: Ethiopian, Indian, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Nepalese, Italian.

I'm passionate about music: Spanish / Mediterranean acoustic guitar is my favorite. For online and radio, I tend to listen to alternative - the Current (89.3), classical, and world (Pandora). I do enjoy a wide variety of music, and have a nicely sized collection, from Sinatra to Morrissey, to Bocelli (ahhh, what a superb natural voice, without the irritating, overdone vibrato I'm supposed to enjoy). I also seem to have an affinity for one hit wonders, usually from the 80's and sometimes the 90's. Ever listen to Jamaican trance music?

Comedy: Laurel and Hardy - comedians without peer! Well here's another fine mess you've gotten me into as Ollie would say. Seinfeld - will there ever be another comedy in the same league? I hope so, but doubt it. Happy Festivus everyone!
The six things I could never do without
Music.
Soft sheets.
Laughter.
Cuddling. Well, I guess I am doing without it.
Tea - iced, green, sweet, lemonade, and raspberry.
My two boys, Frank and Vince (cats). They are always in a good mood...quite different from others you may have met...so charming.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The meaning of life.

Not a lot of time, but I wonder why so many women here put a picture of themselves with one or more other women, and don't say which one they are. Sure, it's easy for you to tell, but sometimes not so for us.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I wink at myself in the mirror once in a while.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 32–49
  • Located anywhere
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners, long-distance penpals
You should message me if
You also wink at yourself in the mirror on occasion (or maybe for some strange reason, suddenly decided to try it). You have a twinkle in your eye. You are sincere, nice with spice, and don't play non-entertaining games. You are not persnickety. You have a lot to give, and hope to find someone who will enjoy reciprocating. You realize that while life alone can be good, it is better with the right person. You don't mind being thought of and treated as an equal. Sweetness, giggles, and unexpected snorts are all desirable. Republicans need not apply (sorry, it's a morals thing - I'm not self-centered, don't worship money, and would no longer be able to wink at myself in the mirror). Preference for those who eat an ethically based diet, or if you have been considering it. Message if after reading this chapter, you are still with me, and hear a little voice saying I wonder or what if? Wait a second, how often do you hear voices in your head?

P.S. Apparently, you are an avid reader. Congratulations, you made it all the way to the end! For your sake, I hope all guys don't write this much!
