I hate writing things about myself. That being said, I was born and raised in Texas in a -VERY- small town. I moved to DFW in 2009 and haven't really looked back. I have an amazingly close group of friends that I could never live without. I really like sports. Except for soccer.

Music is my life. I'm a musician myself, but not with any of the cool stuff. My musical background is in jazz and orchestral performance. I seriously live for music. I usually attend 20+ concerts per year.

I love really nerdy stuff. I love Star Wars, Star Trek, Serenity/Firefly, LotR, The Walking Dead, X-Men (NOT the movies...such crap), Batman, comics in general, and tons of other geeky stuff. I can kind of hide it well in the public arena. I dress pretty nice and don't usually wear "geek clothes" as my friends used to call it. Luckily, I was corrected in my fashion faux pas by my "Gaggle of Gays;" my group of gay friends.

If you can't tell by now, I'm incredibly liberal minded. Politics is a huge factor in my life and I am kept very up-to-date on the "goings on" in the world. There are few people who probably lean so far left as I do. I don't believe in the death penalty and I live in Texas. Ostracized much? Anyways, one of my many passions.

I'm also a huge fan of the outdoors. Growing up, I was an avid camper (TONS of hilarious stories to follow) and learned a great many things about wilderness survival. One of these days, my knowledge of comic books, ability to play a musical instrument, and survival skills will be useful. Until then, MEDIOCRITY ENSUES!!!

You'll notice I don't have much of a filter. I love goofing off, hanging out with my friends, and proper grammar. If you don't know the difference between their, there, and they're, don't bother. Also, I use Oxford commas. They're a necessity.

I've worked in banking for my entire life, it's all I really know. I did a stint over in retail when I was 16 and decided I'd rather play Frogger across 635 than ever have to work in conditions like that again. My job is pretty cool, but, to the uninitiated it sounds pedantic at best. I'm pretty much a superhero. At a bank. They've asked me stop wearing my cape.

Hating laundry. I'm REALLY good at that. I'm also a pretty damned good cook. I can curse with the best of 'em. Oh, it's rare that I lose at a "who's this?" game while listening to the radio. Also, I'm annoyingly good at quoting random shit.

"BOO, YOU WHORE!"

Probably that I'm always laughing or smiling. I'd like to think that I have pretty nice hair and a fashion sense too. Meh, who knows. They usually all just point and laugh.

Books - The Catcher in the Rye, No Country for Old Men, Pure, Losing the Garden, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, most liberal-leaning political books, historical books are also a fave.

Movies - Gattaca, The Dark Knight, No Country for Old Men, The Big Lebowski, Beetlejuice, Good Night and Good Luck

Shows - The West Wing, The Walking Dead, Justified, Modern Family, The Newsroom, Arrested Development, Little Britain, Firefly, Star Trek (TNG/DS9/VYG)

Music - Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters, John Mayer, Sara Bareilles, CSN:Y, this is really impossible to list...virtually everything except Reggae and ska.

Food - Can't go wrong with Italian and Mexican!

I tend to think a lot about politics and how I can affect the world around me. I'm PRETTY sure I've also told you that I'm a music junkie so, yeah, spend a lot of time thinking about music. Whether it's lyrics, chord progressions, or just rhythms, doesn't matter...I'll be thinking about music. Also, tacos. I think about tacos a lot. Mmmmm...tacos.

Either going out with my friends who don't have to work on Saturday morning or being a COMPLETE bum at home.

Publicly? I'm phobic of spiders. Like, bad. I walked into a spider web recently and had a full-blown panic attack. Also, I wear pink undies on Wednesdays. If you know why, we're destined to be.

Oh yeah, I'm a recovering Jersey Shore addict. It was frightening.

I just realized that I've answered exactly 1337 questions. My work here is done. Also, if you know why that number is significant, we'll be besties.
