I'm Devon Alanna. I was born in NY but grew up in Lake Lure NC, and moved to Asheville to go to UNCA in 2007. I love electronic music to the point that it's becoming increasingly difficult to relate to people who don't, and I spend most of my free time at dance parties and psytrance festivals. I love allll of it - psytrance, techno, tech house, dub (in small doses), electro, and more. So if you have a problem with hearing it you might want to invest in earplugs if we hang out. ;) I also love nighttime skinnydipping, waterfalls, hoopdance, festivals...Oh, and I have a blue-eyed heeler mix named Nisha that I love more than life itself. So if you have a friendly dog, that's points in your favor!

I'm going to AB Tech to get my Associate's Degree in applied science to be a vet tech. After that I might go back to UNCA for another two years to get a Bachelor's Degree. While I'm in school I'm just living it up and having fun..while maintaining my GPA of course. :)

I've had quite a few people tell me I have big, beautiful eyes (as my mom put it, "deer like"). What, did you think I was going to say something else was big and beautiful? ;)

Oh, and if I'm at a party people usually notice my neon furry legwarmers, ha.

I'm reading One Hundred Years of Solitude right now, and have been for months. I read the first few hundred pages really quickly, and then forgot about it so I have to go back and reread the second half of it. I also love 1984 and anything by Tom Robbins.

Favorite music? Oh boy. Radiohead, Ladytron, Dresden Dolls, and a bunch of obscure electronic music that most people haven't heard of but if you have, I like you already. Milton Jackson, Androcell, Pretty Lights, Kilowatts, Shapestatic, Scorb, Telefon Tel Aviv, Artifakt, Ajja, Electrypnose, and too many more to list here.

Food..mmm..I may be skinny but I looove food. I'm not a picky eater; I like a variety of things. Fettucini alfredo is one of my favorites, and I love fresh seafood. Every time I go to Charleston I have to eat at Hyman's Half Shell. Mmm...

My car, my iPod, dance parties/festivals, sex, love (not necessarily romantic - friends & family included), hoop dancing. I would put my dog but she isn't a "thing."

The next upcoming party or festival.

Winter: At an indoor party dancing/hooping my ass off.
