My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Are you looking for a sweet, loving, affectionate, genuine girl who will make you smile daily, bring you smoothies to work "just because", and remind you when your mom's birthday is fast approaching and help you pick out the perfect gift? You are? Okay, great. Let me know how that works out for you because that's not me. I'm kidding of course! Here I am! Your search is over :)

I'm just a laid-back, sweet, Texas gal. And everything you've heard about Texas women is true. Well, at least the good stuff anyway!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work from home as an independent mortgage closer. It's a great job that allows me to take off work whenever I want and choose my own hours. I meet with borrowers who have either refinanced their current mortgage or have just purchased a new home and I explain all of the loan terms. I've been closing loans for close to ten years and I love it.

I originally went to school to become an actuary (bonus points if you know what that is without help from Google). I attended William & Mary for a year and then transferred to VCU. Although I went to college for a total of seven years, I am approximately 40 credits shy of my undergrad degree. My mortgage closing business really took off and I decided to take a break from school. I would love to eventually go back and finish my degree when the time is right.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Thinking outside of the box and asking questions others may never have thought to ask. I'm constantly coming up with new business ideas. My friends joke that I'll be on "Shark Tank" one day with one of my crazy ideas/inventions. I once came across a saying that went something like, "Whenever someone laughs at your ideas just remember there's a millionaire walking around who invented the pool noodle". If you want to be successful you have to be okay with failing. When I'm 100 years old (or older!) I don't want to look back on my life and think, "I wish I had taken a chance, I wish I hadn't been so scared."

I'm also good at making people smile and feel at ease. I can have a conversation with anyone. Once you find some common ground it's easy to talk for hours. Even if it's not common ground, a good debate can be great conversation.

I'm not the best cook in the world but I'm learning! I make pretty decent chili, or so I've been told. I can also whip up a mean bowl of cereal ;)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm outgoing, genuine, and charismatic. This is starting to feel like a job application by the way! My friends would say I'm goofy and quirky, but in a charming way (I hope!). I'm also very random which means conversation will never get boring. I'll go from talking about cars to asking you what's on your bucket list without taking a breath. If I had a nickel for every time someone said, "You're so random!" I'd have a whole bunch of nickels.

I'm from TX so I'll eat just about anything.

The Glass Castle and The Jungle are my favorite books.

The League is the funniest show on tv right now. I've already decided to name my next dog Ruxin.

I prefer gritty, dark, thrillers over rom coms BUT I do love 500 Days of Summer. Warrior, Drive, 300, Rudy, all favs.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Peanut (my dog)
2 hour naps
Frito Pie
Bubble baths
Aloe socks
An industrial strength fan for sleeping
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What exactly is my purpose here? How I can fill my life and fill my heart and make the world a better place for having been here. After my brother was born my mom was told by several doctors she couldn't have any more children due to several health problems. 11 years went by and I came along. I was bound and determined to be here and I want to make it count. I'd love to find someone to share my life with but I've also learned that it's okay if I don't.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Snuggling on the couch with my puppy watching a good movie. I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a bit of a homebody. The Golden Girls did more on a Friday night than I do ha! If it's a special occasion I'll go downtown with a few friends but the loud, crowded bar scene isn't really for me. I do like to round up my friends to go to dinner at Sedona or Wild Ginger then maybe head to Uptown Alley. Friendships are important regardless as to whether or not you're single!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been single for a little over two years. Relationships are a huge investment. You're investing your time, your heart, your emotions. It's not something I take lightly and I'm okay with the fact that it may take a while to find someone worth investing in and in turn they feel the same way about me. Finding love isn't a race. I'm not trying to beat my friends to the alter. If it's worth having, it's worth waiting for.

I don't want children. I love being Auntie to my friends' kids but I have zero desire to have my own. I'm happy to just be a good doggy mom.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're looking for a long-term, committed relationship. You don't have a strict time table when it comes to finding the person you want to be with. I realize this will probably weed out 99% of the guys on here but I am not here for a hook-up or casual fling. I've spent ten years dating and I know what I'm looking for. I also know what I can provide. If you message me, put somewhere in your message the numbers "0619". This will tell me you at least read some of my profile (hopefully all) and didn't just take 5 seconds to glance at my pictures. I'm okay with a bit of distance if it's the right person. I don't want to rule out someone who lives 2 or 3 hours away if we have the right connection. Send me a message, don't be shy! And bonus points if you love/have dogs ;)
