My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a bit of a motor-mouth sometimes. Be careful, you might start a conversation!

This is where I get to list things I like: parties, concerts, movies, local shows/local music, Hockey, basketball, metal, classic rock, card games, pool, swimming, the river, playing pool, rain, beach, english humor, dry wit, beer, books, cats, good conversation, live music, rock, metal, writing, paranormal. I'm usually up for a road trip, but I'm not as spontaneous about them as I used to be.

So if you like those things, too, you might like talking to me. Of course, if you don't, then you STILL might like talking to me, because everyone likes me! And if you're one of the people who dosen't like me...please don't say anything. The rest of us are having a GREAT time!

I am lucky, intelligent, and intense
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as a professional in for-profit education, but my passion is business and writing. It might seem strange combination but I find them very complimentary. If you're interested in hearing me talk about my business, drop me a note. If you prefer my creative side, ask me about my fiction.

But be forewarned, I can be a bit of a motor-mouth when you get me talking about one of my projects!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I enjoy cooking (though I need practice, and my tastes tend to be a bit SPICY for a lot of people), and making weird, off color, non-sequeter comments.

I spend a lot of time at work. When I'm not at work I'm working on my side business. When I'm not at work, or working on my side business I'm usually trying to write. If I'm not doing one of those three things, I might be out at a movie, bar, club, or some other form of entertainment.

I'm very good at listening, and even if it looks like I'm paying attention, I'm probably not.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile.

I've been told I'm intimidating, but I think they just didn't understand me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

a) Books - too many to mention, so I'll name authors: Terry Goodkind, Piers Anthony, Robert Heinlein, JK Rowling (so sue me, I liked 'em), Barbara Hambly, Kurt Vonnegut, Neil Gaimen, Terry Pratchet, Tad Williams and others so numerous it's better not to even try. I like to read. Give me an interesting book, and it usually won't take me long to finish it. fantasy, sci-fi, and horror are my normal genres, but I'll read anything if it's recommended!

b) I'll list some of the DVD's I own: 5th Element, Half Baked, Gone in 60 Seconds, Momento, Mystery Men, Boondock Saints,Pulp Fiction, The Incredibles, Happy Gilmore, Kill Bill 1 & 2, Resevoir Dogs, I'll admit it I own the Harry Potter movies, Stripes, Waterboy, Clerks, Italian Job (a personal favorite), Requiem for a Dream, Anchorman, Talladaga Nights, Equilibrium, Cars, Pirates of the Carribbean, Girl Next Door (VERY good movie), Lords of Dogtown, Four Brothers, Willard (LOVE this movie), Idle Hands,Dazed and Confused, Grandma's Boy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Cars, Grease, Crank, 30 days of night, Sky High, and Accepted. I liked DVD's. Now because of the internet, I don't buy nearly as many. I still love going to a theater for a new release, or a play. But opera has got to be SPECIAL to get me to go.

I like most Tarentino movies. I enjoyed Dogma, but don't own it, and like most of Kevin Smith's movies, but NOT Chasing Amy (couldn't stand that movie). I'm pretty much a big fan of most Sci-Fi/Fantasy books and movies. Horror movies make me laugh (and Haunted Houses make me giggle incessantly), Drama can seriously interest me if I'm in the right mood, but enough with the weepy Chick Flicks and RomCom's. Movies like A Few Good Men, Basic, Walk the Line, and I was a Teenaged, Suicidal, Homicidal, Maniacial, Genocidal, Xenocidal, Undead Mutant Zombie Vampire Werewolf Blob, and lived to tell the tale now in technicolor 3-D-o-vision at a drive-in near you! are examples of drams I've enjoyed. But you might not have seen that last one until The Asylum produces it for me.

c) Metal, classic rock, classic metal, hardcore metal, and a varied eclectic choice of other music, like DJ Spooky, Beethoven, and Billy Joel, and even Dub step but not Bro Step, except in limited doses. I could list band after band after band, but let's face it...if you know the genres, you know the bands. So here are some of the bands I didn't want to list: Black Sabbath, Metallica, Judas Priest, Van Halen (and Van Hagar, but not Van Cherone), Korn, Buck Cherry, Led Zepplin, Blue Oyster Cult, Black Crows, Guns N Roses, Ronnie James Dio, Iron Maiden, Tool, Rush, Ozzy, Black Sabbath (With Ozzy, Dio, Ozzy again, Dio again, Ozzy a final time, and even a little while where Ian was the lead singer), Slipknot, Mudvayne, Buck Cherry. There are plenty more, but let's just leave it at those right now.

I've even discovered Outlaw Country as a genre appeals to me, so I can claim to like some country - but not much.

Let's not forget I love local music! If you know a good local band playing somewhere, let me know, I love checking out new venues and bands!

d) American, Mexican, Chinese, Thai, Italian, Mediterranean and almost anything spicy, and a side of rice. Let me cook for you, and try out a new recipe. I'm not great, but I give it my all!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) music 2) friends 3) tacos 4) water 5) the number "5" 6) my cat
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
business, women, writing, love, music, geekstuff, women again, why my fingers are too long for my face. I also spend a lot of time thinking about cheeze wiz - is it really cheese? Is it some sort of wizardry trapped in a bottle, is that why it's the Cheeze Wizard? Seriously, Cheeze Wiz freaks me out. Stop talking about it, ok?

Oh, and let's not forget all the time I wonder about the kryptonite green koolaid. Is it made of kryptonite? Will it give me super powers if I drink it, like in Smallville? Or will it just make me crash through walls. Did you know they recently put PANTS on the Kool-Aid man? that's like putting pants on my Computer!

"But he has arms, and legs, and a face, he needs to have pants!" "HE'S A PITCHER OF KOOL-AID!"

Next they'll demand pants on Donald Duck, or Bugs Bunny! Next they'll be complaining that Daisy Duck has no pants on either!

Oh, and if I'm not goofing off trying to write fiction, I might be working on social media or other forms of business.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I could be doing anything. From seeing a movie to promoting something to do with my business. perhaps I'm at home writing, or chilling with friends.

Some of the places I've frequented in the past are Joe's Grotto, Martini Ranch, The Sets, Clubhouse, and Chasers. I'm willing to go to new clubs/bars, so long as the girls are cute, and the band/music isn't too bad. Ok, cute girls can even make bad music sound better. And good music can even make the girls prettier!

One here in Scottsdale is interesting, it's called Shotgun Betty's. It's a lot less pretentious than the other bars in Old Town, so I feel much more at home. Plus they have pole dancing waitresses. That's right, I said the waitresses and bartenders dance on poles. And the music isn't bad (80's power ballads mixed with country songs. They're going for 'southern rockabilly' I think, but kind of missed the mark. They ARE still in Scottsdale after all!)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am a cat owner. Mess with my cat, and you risk serious hostility.

If you want to go to a show, or if you just want to talk! I'm happy to discuss books, music, quantum mechanics, black holes and super string theories, as well as hair care products, and clothing. I can talk about art, music, and history...but I can also discuss the early 80's Saturday morning cartoon lineup, and I delve pretty deep into the comic book nerd areas.

I'm eccentric, ecclectic, odd, and diverse. I've usually got something to talk about, so step up to the plate!

And please, be sure you have a profile and a pic if you message me. Seriously, how do you expect someone to take you seriously if you haven't got ANYTHING in your profile to work off of?

Oh, I've decided to join in on the "Pirate vs Ninja" thing. Anyone know has known me longer than the "Pirate / Ninja" thing KNOWS I'm a pirate at heart. From the Jolly Roger hanging on my wall, to my overwhelming desire to say "YARRRR" and bury my treasure in someone's sand - everyone knows I'm a pirate!

Fuck Ninjas and their sneaky Ninja ways.
