I am a modern twenty-first century professional woman with the romantic heart of a heroine from a Victorian novel. Although I have lived in the city for almost 10 years now, I grew up in the southwest suburbs. I am very close with my family, and they tend to drag me back to there on a regular basis. I am a total adrenaline junkie and have hobbies that are extreme like knitting and cooking. No worries, I always stretch properly and wear my protective gear when attempting such stunts! Seriously though, I am not a grandma, I have been known to live life a little on the dangerous side. I have jumped out of airplanes, swam in shark infested waters and even dared to kayak the Chicago River with no prior inoculations. But, at the risk of really laying it out there, I tend to be a little shy and reserved. I probably spend too much time watching other people and contemplating what drives them to do what they do. The casual observer of me, may think I seem a little proper at first. But like a modern day Mary Poppins, there is bit magic beneath the surface.

Music - Bobby Darin, Mason Jennings, White Stripes, Ani DiFranco, G. Love, Donovan Frankenreiter, The Tossers, Dropkick Murphys, Depeche Mode, The Smiths - okay there are far too many to list. Basically, I am a fan of all styles except country.
