My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I graduated from UConn in 2011 with a degree in Management Information Systems and immediately got a job working in an office. I was laid off after 35 months and decided to start fresh by going on a 14,000 mile road trip around the US where I Couchsurfed the entire time. I met a lot of amazing people and would say that the trip significantly impacted my life in a very positive way. I returned after 90 days and happily changed careers to teaching.

Here are some things that I love:
- Mondays
- Long shot ideas
- Reading random things on Wikipedia
- Looking up trivia on IMDB
- Exploring new place
- Spending time with friends
- People
- Being outdoors
- Adventures
- Writing
- Going for walks
- Road trips
- Life
- Humor
- Last minute plans
- Conversing about various topics
- My job!
- Competing against my Geometry Honors class to see who can come up with the most dad jokes (PS, it's me)
- Motivating my students and watching them succeed
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
WORK: High school teacher and part-time adjunct professor.

OVERALL: I do the things that I love and hate. I have a theory that doing the things I love gives me energy and doing the things that I hate grows me as a person. I'm also looking for a house to buy.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- Enjoying the moment
- Singing in the shower and car
- Knowing what random acronyms stand for
- Cleaning
- Calling myself out on things that I know I need to work on
- Playing tetris and tuning the world out when my students annoy me
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
BOOKS: I typically read memoirs / auto-biographies. I've enjoyed Dreams from My Father, Bringing Down the House, Stephen King: On Writing, 1984, and Choke.

MOVIES: I absolutely love laying down on the couch in the evening and watching a great movie. Some movies: Bruce Almighty, Mrs. Doubtfire, Home Alone, Police Academy, Office Space, The Town, Shutter Island, Philadelphia, There Will Be Blood, Crash, Crash, and Dear Zachary.

SHOWS: I don't watch TV much so I have a document that I use to keep track of where I am in whatever shows I'm watching. Some shows I love(d): Breaking Bad, Dexter, The Walking Dead, Southland, The Office, Ray Donovan, Better Call Saul, Looney Tunes, Trailer Park Boys, Family Guy, Boy Meets World (guilty confession #1), Judge Judy (guilty confession #2), and Seinfeld.

MUSIC: I'm probably listening to music while doing most things throughout the day. Music is one of the most important things in my life. Some music: Explosions in the Sky, Green Day, The Killers, Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, Fountains of Wayne, Journey, Rancid, Elton John, Fun., Fitz and the Tantrums. I'm also that guy who listened to a few songs from 100s of artists.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Car
2. Tea
3. Music
4. Writing
5. Internet
6. Friends & family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- Life
- The world around me
- How I can give back to the world
- Improving all aspects of my life
- Why so many girls cannot live without chapstick
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Typically relaxing with my friends indoors. We do like to go out but we don't go out on a weekly basis. Damn, that makes us seem lame. We're not lame!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
