My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've got a big heart and a big smile and a big appetite for life. I'm looking for a balance between intimacy and solitude. I'm affectionate and playful, a hopeful romantic with a wild side!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an author and former college professor. I'm the Office Manager of a martial arts academy. I've been divorced for six years and have spent that time building my writing career and dating. I am ready for love. I know that lots of people save all year (or a lifetime) for 2 weeks in the Bay Area, so I get out and don't take this beautiful place for granted!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My great-grandmother taught me to cook. I speak languages in addition to English. I have a beautiful singing voice. I know how to laugh. I grew up with 7 brothers so there ain't a sport I can't play. I am wide open to trying things I've never done before.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My warm and open smile. My muscles. My ready laugh. People seem instantly comfortable around me.

Laughter on a daily basis.
Tea of all kinds from all over the planet. (And the streak of mischief in me that has me writing 8 things!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to be a better Sister, Aunt, Friend. What I need in a partner and what I have to give to the right person. The two books I'm currently working on. The next book after those. Finding someplace unknown to explore. Where is live music playing this week?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Since I am off my day job on Fridays, I spend the day writing and by 5 or 6, I'm ready to turn the computer off and find some human contact. That can mean contacting a friend for dinner, or finding a live music venue, or inviting someone I know who has a dog to let me tag along on their walk!
