My Self-Summary
Hi, I'm Kyle. I suppose this is the box where I'm supposed to
summarize myself and blow everyone away. Well, um, alright then. I
think Tilamook Cheddar is Oregon's gift to all of us for letting
them hang out at the cool kids' table. So I like to go sailing, and
cheese. There's other stuff too.
What I’m doing with my life
I run a theatre. I'm a lighting designer and sound guy. It's fun
and yet somehow manages to pay the mortgage and give me health
benefits, so all in all I'm pretty happy with it. There's also the
whole deal of getting to see some cool shows week in, and week out.
I’m really good at
Well, I'm really good at lighting plays, sailing upwind and
noticing wind shifts, playing a shadowpriest, and giving a super
boring list of stuff I'm good at.
The first things people usually notice about me
I think they see that I have large feet, but small hands, and that
confuses both old sayings about other things, and that confuses
them. Then they see my smile and they're all like, "It doesn't
really matter anyways"
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
This is the point where you might expect me to write some big long
lists, but I'm not going to do that. I last read the new Dan Brown
book, and honestly, the ending didn't really do it for me. Every
year two of my friends have a Lord of the Rings special edition
marathon movie watching. We all make tons of good food and go over
to watch it. The result is that I typically sleep through half of
it, but I always wake up for Helm's Deep. But my friend does make
some awesome Lasagna.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Work takes up a lot of my thinking time. Organizing big shows and
plays and stuff is kind of an organizational sink that sucks in a
lot of my brain power sometimes. If not that, traveling, I love to
travel and I'm always looking for the next place. My dad and I are
thinking about sailing to the British Virgin Islands next year,
that'll rule.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either at work or out with friends somewhere. Then again if I'm
feeling tired and antisocial I might be home playing video games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Crickets are invading my condo and they're driving me insane! I
can't wait for the first freeze when I can be rescued from this
invertebrate invasion.
