My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Artist, goofball, and tea-addict.

I'm bouncy and easily-excitable but I can easily get lost in my own head or a good book, or just Wikipedia/tv tropes, and love to over analyze media and culture. I enjoy both needlessly goofy and pointless things, as well as critical/cultural studies and debating the merits of such. Nothing brings friends together like an overheated postmodernist debate, especially when there no resolution and all parties laugh about it later.

I spend most of my free time painting and sewing or creating in general. I'll be covered in powdered charcoal and acrylic gel one day, and meticulously crafting a deconstructed ball gown the next.

I'm also a bit of a nerd... Doctor Who, anime, video games, steampunk, y'know, the pretty normal nerd stuff. I don't devote as much time/energy/money to fandom as I used to, but I still enjoy cons, fanfiction, and table top RPG's when the art isn't behaving itself and I feel like vegging.

I'm looking for someone who'll give me my creative space (And join/encourage my weird adventures in such), but also participate in pointless debates and be a cuddle budy for netflix binges.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to pull off the whole "adult" thing (bills, job, car, ect), but I don't think I'll ever grow out of building forts in the living room or laughing at childish fart jokes.

I have a fulltime, big girl job at a custom frame shop in springdale, and I'm being groomed for management.

Working on getting a portfolio together for an MFA. I have my sights set on the west coast, but I'm trying to find a program that feels like a good fit.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Tripping over nothing, dropping things, and making sense of the absurd and nonsensical.

In all seriousness, I'm good at figuring out how to make things, learning new tools/techniques on the fly, and solving problems in a jam. I've picked up welding, carpentry, knitting, and tailoring over the last few years, and don't intend to stop learning new things that might be useful in the future.
The first things people usually notice about me

I'm really short and have a round face, so I get mistaken for being way younger than I am a lot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Chuck Palahniuk, Kurt Vonnegut and Neil Gaiman, along with most dystopic novels (Orwell, Atwood). I also enjoy the odd paranormal romance or old-school "bodice ripper" paperback when I feel like a good laugh or giving my brain a break. Most of my friends are bibliophiles and writers, so I have a pretty huge stack of "To Read" books.

Movies: Anything Miyazaki, Pixar, or involving David Attenbouroug. Marvel's Cinamatic Universe is also pure awesome. I also love Bruce Cambell and Steve Murray, and Japanese horror movies.

TV: American Horror Story, Doctor Who, Adventure Time, Buffy, South Park, Once Upon a Time, Grimm, Archer, and random documentaries.

Music: Amanda Palmer, Lilly Allen, Lindsay Sterling, Temposhark, and occasionally Kyari Pamyu Pamyu when I feel like annoying the shit out of everyone in the room and I just want brain candy.

Food: I will eat almost anything /once/. That being said, I haven't come across a ton of foods I actively dislike. Except pineapple on pizza. I will never understand the appeal of that.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Sketchbooks, comfy shoes, tea, happy colors, and my friends

Part of me is dependant on my phone and the internet, but I'd also like to throw my computer in the river half the time so I can chill out and focus on the real world.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Are conspiracy theorists legit insane or are they onto something?

Why is it that nature takes on organic fractal patterns at all sizes, but humans are obsessed with straight lines and geometric order?

Why is art seen as an elitist construct for the 1%, when artists are usually the most irreverent, broke, and intoxicated people you'll ever meet?

Why do people keep insisting on linking actors and writers to fanfics? It's just going to give them more fodder to break fangirl's hearts.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually on friend's couch with a cheap beer or bottle of wine, watching stupid movies or playing video games.

If not that, then I'm probably painting or drawing or sewing or procrastinating doing those things on reddit or tumblr.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I wrote erotica and self published on amazon for a few months when I was unemployed. I needed the cash and it amused me.
