I am Curious, Optimistic, and Chivalrous.

My Self-Summary

The hardest part of these things is where to start for me; the second hardest part is not where to stop, but stopping period to be honest. Every time I start writing and get on a roll it takes an act of congress and a meteor strike to stop me ha ha. Well here we go. *flexes fingers* I'm 24 years old, brown hair, brown eyes, and one of the most unique people you could ever meet. I have feelings; care about others'; and not afraid to be myself even if i have to break a few stereotypes: in fact sometimes just to break them ha ha. I am very easy to please and enjoy almost any activity you can think of as long as I share it with friends or family; as I'm very adaptable and love experiencing new things most of all. On my own free time I read quite a bit(anything that captures my interest; vague but I'm just that eclectic, same with music) or trolling the internet for facts and fun. So seeing that this is a "summary"; I suppose that about sums it up for now(beware my love for puns; can't help it I swear). I won't put "ask me if you want to know more" cause I'm sure you will if you want to...wait..does that still count as putting it?*scratches head* :-D damn me..ha ha. My sense of humor can be quite random but at least it's always present, and putting smiles on others' faces can really make my day as I think about how much better that person's day will be and who they may pass it on to, creating a chain of good feelings and positive attitudes.

What I’m doing with my life

Right now I'm working part time so I can watch my nephew for my sister, and he is quite the handful at 3 yrs. old; and yet it's also one of the most rewarding times in my life so far. When he goes to day care in a couple months I can concentrate on my current goal of learning to bartend and have the awesome job of serving drinks with finesse and talking/meeting with so many people. It's sort of like my old dream of psychologist(which may be rekindled one day),but less personal and taxing and just about as enjoyable.

I’m really good at

Being funny and making others laugh and/or cheering them up. Though I prefer to stay out of my friends and families bigger problems cause I believe in personal responsibility and learning from mistakes, I can't refuse them if they need someone to talk to or want advice; so it's fair to say I'm really good at diffusing situations and guiding others assuming they take my advice. Anything intellectual or meta physical I can grasp easily and conversations never seem to suffer. Talking and listening are also some of my best skills and I can and will go for hours if my interest is piqued.

The first things people usually notice about me

Physically seems to be my eyes I guess; or my smile so I've been told. My eyes have a sparkle and my smile lights up a room and people seem drawn to my warm nature.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Hmm...To not draw this out a simple list will do.

Books: Thomas Covenant saga; The catcher in the rye; Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy; Bully; Most true life books as well.

Movies: The Truman show; TMNT 1 & 2; Talladega Nights; Quentin Tarantino flicks; Most Indie flicks; and most other comedies or movies that will get you thinking.

Music: Literally anything as long as it has a beat or catchy/thoughtful lyrics. There's a much bigger chance I will at least like it or tolerate it then changing the track or station.

Food: Chicken and dumplings; Pizza; Mint chocolate chip ice cream; and I'm just not that picky to be honest.

The six things I could never do without

My phone

The internet

Books

Friends/family

Love

Myself

Not necessarily in that order as a heads up if you're wondering.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How I'm going to spend my day or the next one to reach my goals and have fun at the same time. After that it's usually just me being random and either coming up with ideas/inventions or just reflecting on the happenings of the past and present; whether personal or random worldly and unworldly concepts. I can be surprisingly deep and simple all in one day or even one conversation/thought process.

On a typical Friday night I am

Hanging with friends which can be anything from a few beers and games; a party or BBQ; or even a quiet night playing with my nephew and enjoying some relaxing family time.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

That's almost hard to think about because I'm always an open book regardless, but if I have to pick it it would be have to be my greatest fear, cause that's usually pretty close to the heart in some way:

I'm always the optimist, but the only shadow I can never shake is the fear of being alone in this world without my own significant other; cause I have so much to share and give and I've always found it a shame nice guys finish last. The only relief my optimism ever gave me was my answer to that horrible stereotype: "At least we finish what we start" :)

You should message me if

You like a sense of humor and enjoy smiling and laughing;

Want to meet one of the "elusive" last "nice" guys around;

Are looking for a serious relationship after building a strong friendship and rapport; I've been searching for love for a while and have a great idea of what I want and an understanding of compromise and teamwork to make a relationship last.

You can do those last two comments without head games or drama(so sick of high school seeping into our adult world). I've never been a fan of games or leading people on, and I expect to be treated as well as I treat others.

Also as a side note for politeness: if you message me I promise to write back, even if for the sole reason of letting you know I'm not interested and I'd hope for the same thing. I just figure it's only right to let the person know instead of no reply at all; after all, they spent the time to write you, and it takes no time at all to be honest and respectful.
