I'm an outgoing poly half hippy who likes to play outside. I love
theatre and travel, which don't really support each other, but
we're working on it. I dabble in music and painting, but mostly
just stick to theatre, though lately I'm playing my guitar more and
more.. AND I just acquired a banjo. it's hard to do anything but
play the banjo right now. I am more of a dog person than a cat
person. I wear extremely practical shoes almost 100% of the time. I
think of myself as queer not bisexual. But oh the limits of
okcupid. I read a lot, and almost anything, it's rare for me to
meet a book I don't at least kind of like. Perhaps due to the fact
that my natural state is with my nose in a book I Can be pretty
socially awkward. When I'm not tongue tied and foot scuffling I'm
pretty articulate. Awkward and articulate about sums me up.
oh also I leave myself logged into this almost all the time. by
accident. cuz I'm good and stuff and stuff.
What I’m doing with my life
I work as a theatre venue technician and freelance as a props
builder. I'm also taking over the world.. it just hasn't noticed
yet. But it will.
I’m really good at
Making something out of nothing. With my hands
Making nothing out of something. With my brain
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair. It's pretty good.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Lord of the rings (books and movies)
Game of thrones (books and TV show)
Did I mention earlier that I was a pretty big nerd?
Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel
I like to go to the library and get books out based solely on their
titles. Which I hear you shouldn't do But I love it.
I'm trying to read more non fiction these days. Use the ol noggin.
So if you have any recommendations, fiction or non fiction. I will
take any book recommendations!
The Station Agent
Death at a Funeral (the English, NOT the American.)
All of the nature documentaries. All of them.
Urm tv shows.: BSG, firefly, dollhouse, United states of tara, bsg
I like folkyish music that makes your heart feel full. The Wooden
Sky, Mason Jennings, Tallest Man on Earth, The Be Good Tanyas,
Kathleen Edwards, Dan Mangan, Old Crow Medicine Show, Trappled by
Turtles, Smog. oh And Ani Difranco has a big place in my heart. I
have a huge massive heart on for shovels and rope. Look them up.
Lately I've been really really into some electronic music. Organic
Mechanic, JPod, MiKhal, Mr. Bill, PRSN, Bassnectar, The Librarian,
Fort Knox Five. Glitch hop and electroswing bit of dubstep. Just
fun shit really. It'd be great to find someone who was passionate
about electronic music AND folk music.
I like most food, but am a pesky pescatarian -I eat fish but no
other meat. And I'm one of those jerkface dinguses that just
stopped eating gluten. And you know what? Feel freaking amazing.
Also I make the best cornbread. Seriously.
The six things I could never do without
My friends, family, my glue gun, something to play music on, my
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Travel- where to, when, how. Work-what, when, how much. And then
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with my friendlings, playing music, getting drunk and
being sarcastic and awkward. Or working. Usually working. Or
getting ready for work by making lots of food. Or working and then
go to the top.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
The amount of time I spend on here relates directly to how bored I
am. That's not really private but I thought I'd mention. I'm
private til I'm not. I'm semi open but I'm not an 'ask me anything'
gal. I'm more a 'get to know me, then ask me anything' gal
You should message me if
you want a new friend that you can run around town throwing things
with, that may one day make out with you. If that seems like a good
