I am unpredictable, unusual, and intelligent.
My Self-Summary
I am intelligent, creative, sensitive and I have a rather odd sense
of humor. A lot of my time is spent sleeping, reading, surfing the
web, programming and playing WoW and table-top RPGs. I watch tv and
movies, but I also watch a lot of internet videos these days. I
enjoy webcomics as well, especially
Order of the Stick,
Misfile,
Oh My Gods! and
xkcd. I am way behind on
Something
Positive, but that's also a great comic. I collect quotes, so
if you say something wacky it's bound to end up in my ever-growing
quotes file. I often do random weird things just for the heck of
it. I'm spiritual, I read
tarot cards and horoscopes. I celebrate
the equinoxes and other
Sabbats. I tend to miss the
Esbats, but I acknowledge
the power of the universe as often as I can, so I think I'll
probably be forgiven. I am interested in (equality)
feminism,
astrology,
astronomy,
art,
science,
history and lots of other
nerdiness.
What I'm looking for: someone I can share this plane of existence
we call life with. Someone strong, but not afraid to be a little
vulnerable. Someone who can shore me up when I'm down, and accept
my support when they need it. Someone who thinks outside the box.
Someone who has at least some clue as to the definition of romance.
Someone as odd as I am. Beyond that it's really all details. Don't
sweat the small stuff!
Some words to describe me: friend, lover, counselor, muse,
philosopher, writer, artist, nerd, geek, gamer, coder, thinker,
worrier, dreamer, singer, reader, oracle, oddity, caretaker,
listener, hippie. I'm sure I'll think of more, and probably pick up
a few new ones from those around me, so I'll update the list as it
comes to me.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated college in '06 with my BS in Computer Sciences,
specialty in Internet Information Systems, and a minor in
Communications. After that I got the obligatory "after college
job," then moved on. I've been working contract for a while, but
the economy has hit me hard. Now I'm exploring some other options,
but I'm not going to give up.
On my off time I write
poetry and
blogs, dabble in
photography and
digital art, and continue to
work on my
singing. This year I want to buy a
guitar and learn how to play it so I can start writing my own
music. I play as much
Warcraft as I can fit into my busy
schedule, but I'm not the type to put real life on hold so I can
play, either.
I’m really good at
Procrastinating, singing, writing, making people smile, comforting
people, showing affection, holding a conversation and generally
pulling random information out of my @$$.
Avoiding talking on the phone. I despise that form of
communication.
Developing web-based applications.
Reading Tarot.
Giving inspiration.
The first things people usually notice about me
I wear glasses.
I'm quiet (that's just until you get to know me, though).
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books) Tir Alainn Trilogy by Anne Bishop, Daughters of Bast Trilogy
by Sarah Isidore, feminist books, political books. Most recently
I've been reading "The F-Word" (that's referring to Feminism, get
your mind out of the gutter).
Movies) Serenity, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Spun, Legend,
Krull, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Matrix, Moonstruck, Pirates
of the Caribbean Trilogy, Queen of the Damned, Interview With The
Vampire, Spaceballs, Robin Hood: Men In Tights, Final Fantasy VII:
Advent Children, Princess Bride, Topper Returns, Reefer Madness and

That 70's Show, Antiques Roadshow, Last Comic Standing, Futurama,

offense to Chef Symon, but Irvine is da bomb), Supernatural,
Charmed, X-Files, House M.D., The Mentalist and probably a few more
I'm forgetting. If you've ever watched Underdog (the old cartoon
not the crappy movie), you rock!
Music) Blind Guardian, Breaking Benjamin, Darren Hayes, Darude,
Dave Matthews Band, Disturbed, The Doors, Drain STH, Enomine,
Hoobastank, Janis Joplin, Korn, Linkin Park, Loreena McKennitt,

The six things I could never do without
1) Hot Showers
2) Chocolate
3) Music
4) The Internet
5) Time To Regroup
6) Physical Affection
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything and anything. Why relationships don't work out. What I'm
hungry for. All the injustice in the world. Something I just read.
Something I want to write. Something I coded. Something I just
listened to. Something I just ate. Something someone said.
Something someone did. Something I did. Something else.
On a typical Friday night I am
Every other week I play Forgotten Realms with a small group at my
house. I have a Catfolk Barbarian that likes to drink and chase
butterflies. Enemies and friends alike fear two things: her wrath
and her sobriety (which tend to coincide, but Gods help you if you
try to take her weapon).
On off weeks, who knows? Playing WoW, programming, building another
new playlist, contemplating a few shots, taking a nap, hanging out
with friends, eating an ice cream sundae, building a ship in a
bottle with discarded toothpicks while standing on my head, eating
raisins, staring at the wall, going out to dinner, who knows? Well
maybe one of those isn't true. I mean, who eats raisins?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
That I'll admit almost anything in private. :P
I really just don't know what to put here. Nothing is taboo with
me.
You should message me if
You think you're my soul mate.
You think I'm your soul mate.
You think a lot in general.
You don't totally fit any label that could be applied to you.
You can wrap your mind around the contradiction that I have a
degree in a Scientific field but believe in Tarot and
Astrology.
The voices in your head told you to.
The Fates, Gods, or Furies told you to.
You use big words, but not superfluously.
You're really damned weird. I like weird.
