I am unlike anyone you know.

I have strong opinions about everything and strong motivations. I'm passionate about politics, but politics is make-believe. So is the media. So is the economy. When I cheer for a sports team, I do it to be ironic--who cares? I'm allergic to materialism and drama. I avoid trends. I vote for third parties. I don't work for a paycheck. I eat food you can't buy in the supermarket. I give away money as an exercise in detachment. I loathe advertisements. I am older than my years. I am a philosopher and a revolutionary.

I'm very health-oriented. I eat healthy and try to stay active outdoors. One of my medium-term goals is to grow a lot of my own food and make it the very healthiest food possible, and eventually, to be able to provide food to the poor.

I am not shy, but I am introverted. I like my alone time--for thinking, reading, or doing nothing. One-on-one, I make good conversation. In a group, I often just listen.

I have traveled a fair amount within the US, but very little outside the country. If I had a girlfriend, I would take her someplace far away, probably with a beach.

Why isn't there a section here called "I like girls who"? Duh!

I like girls who are sensitive to others' feelings; who are able to communicate kindness and understanding.

I like girls who are independent; who demand independence in a man; who don't always have to be right.

I like girls who are not jealous or possessive or competitive; who think they themselves are hot; who appreciate hotness in men and in women; who enjoy attention but do not seek attention; who are direct and open.

I like girls whose appearance and mannerisms are feminine, but who don't take an hour to get ready. I like understated makeup and jewelry. I like big lips and big eyes.

Learning how to tread lightly on the earth, how to grow my own food, how to fix shit, how to be self-sufficient. Honing my philosophy.

Learning amazing feats of strength, balance, coordination, and agility. I like gymnastics and the circus arts.

Figuring out how the world works and what motivates people. Cooking. Healthy living. Writing. Speaking. Being happy with what I've got. Investing money.

Seeing the matrix.

Books and movies: Mostly nonfiction. Anything that explains politics, economics, government, and the whole crooked, scamming system. Books on gardening, agriculture, and food. 1984, The Omnivore's Dilemma, Confessions of an Economic Hitman.

TV: Battlestar Galactica, The Wire

Music: Downtempo and ambient electronica, trance, The Dandy Warhols, The Doors, They Might Be Giants, MGMT, lots of stuff.

Food: Mostly organic, mostly vegetarian. Made from scratch as much as possible. There isn't much I don't like.

Backbone: Express your honest opinion even when it's different from everyone else's; take issue with what's wrong when no one else will.

Skepticism: Question authority; think independently; trust, but verify.

Peace: There is no way to peace; peace is the way.

Love: Put someone else before yourself.

Health: It is a religion, and your body is the temple.

Freedom: It is the meaning of life.

How to save the world. What to cook for dinner. How to avoid taxes. How to simplify my life and my mind. Sex. Women. Revolution. Health and nutrition.

I flex my muscles in front of the mirror. Are narcissism and humility mutually exclusive? I don't think so.

If there's something unusual about you. If you enjoy silence. If you are young enough so that you haven't been corrupted, or old enough to have gotten over your corruption.

If you're down with Ron Paul.

Or if you want to play frisbee, tennis, or whiffle ball. Or play tag or learn to juggle. Or go ride roller coasters. Perfect first date is any of those things followed by a picnic.
