My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I probably come across as fairly conservative and "normal" when people meet me, but inside I'm kind of crunchy and socially/politically radical.

I will soon move out of my home, rent it out, and buy a camper, then spend at least a year traveling, camping, hiking, and working on small organic farms. I did something similar for a summer a while back.

(Looking for tenants for my condo has made me realize that compared to a lot of people, I really have my shit together.)

I work part-time as a writer, which I can do from anywhere. A combination of inheritance (my dad died when I was 17) and good investing has allowed me to work part-time most of my adult life. I try to live a simple life, and I donate to charity every month.

In one-on-one situations, I am fairly extroverted, but in group settings, I can be somewhat introverted. I like getting to know who people really are.

If you can see this link you can read the profile questions I've explained: link.

I strive to be:
- honest
- affectionate
- expressive
- intellectual/nerdy
- food-conscious
- gracious
- self-confident
- introspective
- calm and patient

People use words like "relationship," "casual," and "serious" as shorthand for expressing their true feelings and desires. I find that pretty useless. We should talk about and think about our feelings and desires in detail, not using loaded single-word expressions.

What I'm looking for

I don't care if you are a waitress, a PhD, a hipster, or a cheerleader (or all of the above). I only care whether you're a well-adjusted, positive person who wants to make a connection.

I'm open to dating women of pretty much any age, but I would only have kids with someone younger than me. I want to have kids in, say, my 40s. (Have my own and/or adopt. I like both ideas.)

I have a lot of respect for both monogamous and non-monogamous relationships, as long as communication and honesty are held paramount. Open relationships are fun and challenging and progressive. Being that I'm about to travel a lot, monogamy probably isn't in the cards right now. In all my relationships, working to avoid jealousy and possessiveness is a must.

Definitely want: Dates, companionship, affection.
Probably want: Sex, sleepovers, romantic feelings.
May want with the right woman, eventually: Exclusivity, deep emotional involvement, happily ever after, kids.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Changing it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Eating: Everything tastes good to me. Everything! But I am very tuned into nutrition. I eat mostly organic and small-farm food. You are what what you eat eats. Now and then I'll go to Taco Bell and get something vegetarian.

Watching: I like all the good shows. BB, GoT, BSG, TD, HoC, OB, you know what I'm talking about.

Reading: sci-fi, current events, economics. I like reading actual newspapers. I'm like your dad in that way (and probably other ways too (if we are a high match)).

Listening:
PODCASTS! I live for them. NPR News, politics, economics, current events.
Lykke Li, Booka Shade, They Might Be Giants, Royksopp, Deadmau5, CSS, Daft Punk, Thievery Corporation, etc.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Backbone: Express your honest opinion even when it's different from everyone else's; take issue with what's wrong when no one else will.

Skepticism: Question authority; think independently; trust, but verify.

Peace: There is no way to peace; peace is the way.

Love: Put someone else before yourself.

Health: If your body is a temple, health is religion.

Freedom: The meaning of life.
