My self-summary
I've lived in Longmont for the past eight years, and I have lived in Colorado for all but seven years of my life.

I am a shy person but once I get to know you, most of my shyness melts away.

I love my family and I adore my two year old niece.

I can be really geeky at times, especially when it comes to the things I like.

I am kind, generous, and shy

What I’m doing with my life
I am a student at Pueblo Community College (CCCOnline.org) to get an Associates of Applied Science and my Library Technician Certification. From there, I hope to work toward a Masters in Library and Information Science. This will make me a full Librarian. And who knows, maybe I'll get my Ph.D. :-)
I also work at (surprise!) a library. :-)

I know, I know, you're thinking "Wow! How 'interesting' (boring)." Actually, I find working at the library very interesting. I have all that knowledge at my fingertips, which works out great because I love to learn. The people I work with are great, and, contrary to popular belief, most people who work at the library are very quirky.

I’m really good at
I am really good at making things, my focus right now is jewelry making. I am looking at the possibility of turning my love of jewelry making into a business. That way, I could line my wallet a little bit with something that I enjoy doing.

I also love to cook and bake. I like to experiment with ingredients and trying new things. You'll also find that I like to take a basic recipe and build on it to make it better.

I'm really good at listening, and deciphering people's emotions. I have been told that I am very emotionally intelligent. However, for other people, my emotions may be hard to read, because I am very good at hiding them (a defense mechanism learned throughout the years).

I'm also very, very patient.

The first things people usually notice about me
That I am shy, but that I don't let people walk all over me. I can be assertive when I need to be.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I don't like one genre better than another. I read the summary of a book and if it sounds interesting, I read it. I'm a big fan of Robert Ludlum's novels, especially his new Covert One series. I've recently fallen in love with the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I love to read comic books! I like the Unshelved comic strip, and SUPERMAN!! Not a huge anime fan, but to each his own. I have a few friends who like anime, so I can't totally hate it. :-)

Movies: Action, animated, comedy, romance, musicals, old classics, etc. Some examples would be: Run the Wild Fields, Superman Returns (Of Course!), Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, Transformers, Star Trek, Shining Through, etc. I absolutely don't like horror. Being scared to death is not something that I enjoy.

TV: Stargate, Star Trek, Torchwood, Doctor Who, Heroes, The Big Bang Theory, Smallville, Life, Chuck, Lie to Me, Farscape, Grey's Anatomy, Battlestar Galactica, Numb3rs, NCIS, CSI, The Mentalist, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, Top Gear, the list could go on for awhile. Mostly sci-fi, medical dramas, and crime dramas. You'll also see me very interested in channels like Discovery, History, Weather, National Geographic, Travel, and Science.

Music: Rock, country, oldies, incidental, punk, etc. I am open to all kinds of music. I tend to go on a song by song basis. Right now I am getting back into Switchfoot, and listening to the Twilight Soundtrack.

Food: I like all kinds of food. I, however, don't like spicy (hot) food. Not that I like my food bland, on the contrary. I love lots of flavor. I don't like to burn the tastebuds out of my mouth to the point I can't taste the food anymore.

Interests/Hobbies: Fishing, camping, swimming, hiking, reading, watching tv and movies, going to live action theater, crafts, writing fiction and poetry (when inspired), cooking, hanging out with friends, looking up random thing on the internet, learning, shopping (when I have the money), SUPERMAN!!! (TOTALLY AWESOME!!), asian culture and decor, gardening, and rodeos.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I stand on important issues and topics, the meaning of life, what is means to be human, and when will I get that button sewn back onto my favorite jacket.

On a typical Friday night I am
When I get the chance, I like to do something special with my friends. Go to the movies, go out to a resturant, etc. Something that we don't get to do very often.
