My self-summary
I am not here. I'm also not on LiveJournal, MySpace, Facebook, or Twitter. Where am I? Well, call me and find out (though the odds are good I'm either at work or asleep).

I am still a geek of all trades (G.O.A.T.). My quad-core, eight gigs of RAM, bleeding-edge video card and physics accelerator-enabled computer puts me in the running for tech geekiness.

I cosplay as Nausicaa and Rurouni Kenshin at Sakura-Con, though I'm looking to expand my costume repertoire to something slightly more modern... any suggestions? So I'm also an anime geek.

I used to autocross in my Toyota MR2, though its rapidly failing engine means that I'll have to get that blacktop sooner rather than later! I guess that makes me a car geek as well.

I love English literature (Samuel Beckett is incredible, but Chaucer will always remain my first love), so I'm a book geek too.

I also play violin (or fiddle, if you prefer) and my band's t-shirts actually say "Music geek" across the front of them. I learned to play classically, so I'll always love Vivaldi, Mozart, and Bach, but college opened my eyes to new ways of playing, so now I've learned Celtic music from several different open Celtic jam sessions in the Seattle area. My band's sound is often described as "Orchestral Indie Rock" since our instrumentation is guitar, electric bass guitar, violin, and cello.

Ever notice how, if you read or say a word too often, it loses its meaning and becomes just a really funny-sounding noise?

I am busy, distracted, and debatable.
What I’m doing with my life
Working in the technological end of the legal field (signed an NDA), gaming on too many nights to count, playing entirely too much City of Heroes, holding two staff positions with Sakura-Con 20XX (the local anime convention), racing my car in autocross, playing violin in a band called Suffer the Liar, and hosting an "anime night" at my house every other week. I also sleep, believe it or not.
I’m really good at
Getting into more than I can handle.
The first things people usually notice about me
My utter untallness. After that, people seem to comment on my hair color frequently-- yes, that is my natural color. I don't know where it came from either. Everyone else in the family has dark brown hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite books: By The Sword by Mercedes Lackey, Darwin's Radio by Greg Bear, Snowcrash by Neal Stephenson, and Waiting For Godot by Samuel Beckett.

Favorite movies: "The Nightmare Before Christmas"; "Rurouni Kenshin: the movie"; "Kaze no Tani no Nausicaa"; "Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi"; "The Dark Crystal"; "Fantasia 2000"; and "The Gods Must Be Crazy".

Favorite music: of course I love classical, mostly Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Vivaldi, and Bach. Anything with very intricate violin pieces is a guaranteed Untall attractant! I also love a lot of Irish music for that same reason. However, in the car, my radio is usually set for the local classic rock station. :)

Favorite foods: well, sushi wins hands down, but I love to cook spaghetti in all its various incarnations. I also love deviled chicken (ask me for the recipe if you dare) and, apparently, I have a taste for Thai. I like to cook for groups of friends, and have won prizes for my cooking in very small circles.

The six things I could never do without
1. My car 2. My cat 3. My fiddle 4. My husband 5. My friends 6. My family
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Really, I spend a lot of time thinking about my writing. I like writing, but don't know if I'm good enough to attempt to make a living from it. It's providing me with some great angst, at the very least.
On a typical Friday night I am
Working. Yay late swing shift!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
This person is only a secret identity for my real avocation: Easily Distracted Lass of Team Oooh Look There's a Shiny Thing. Our team motto: Veni, vidi... oooooooooo (I came, I saw..... I got distracted).
