My self-summary
First off, I'm living in Germany, but I'm from the U.S. (Wisconsin) and will be coming back to the United States in a few years after I'm done exploring the world. (Or sooner, should the military feel like being douchy.)
[Update: Found out that I'll be going to Scott AFB, IL. Looks like St. Louis, MO (or right outside of it) will be my home on/after July 31st.]

I'm really active, and it would be great to find someone who can join me in the active things I enjoy. (Snowboarding, rock climbing, travelling, working out, running, spontaneously doing something, etc.)

One of the things I enjoy in life most is travelling. I love people, cultures, places, architecture, etc.

I'm full of contradictions:
I am pretty active and love working out, but I also am a bit of a computer nerd, and like my lazy days periodically.
I'm really adventurous with trying new food, but I can be a pretty picky eater.
Absolutely LOVE the cold and snow, but still like vacationing to warm places with beaches so I can swim (and from my two top favorite places I've traveled: one was a desert, the other was about 90 the whole time.)
I alternate between being really outgoing and solitary.
I'm a non-violent person that has an affinity for participating in violent sports (martial arts and MMA, etc).
I like deep thought provoking movies and weak-plotted action movies (among many others).

I know it's not very unique on this site, but I find intelligence very attractive.

I'm an idealist, and firmly believe in leaving this place better than I came into it.

My musical tastes encompass everything from Marilyn Manson to George Winston to Katy Perry to Above & Bevond and so much more. With music, odds are I'll most likely like it (minus country or polka.)

My quick story about being in Germany is that I had been in University for two years going pre-med until the lovely costs of college caught up. Having an extreme aversion to getting buried in student loans pushed the decision to join the Air Force. I was lucky enough to get Germany as my first duty station. The rest to be continued in the "What I'm doing with my life" section.
What I’m doing with my life
Whelp, I'm in the Air Force right now. Traveling the world, one continent at a time (that's a lie... it's been more than that at a time). Taking classes and pursuing a separate degree while I'm in the military. When I get done I'll be going back to university (ideally, pre-Med again, only this time able to afford it). I stay in pretty good shape, and I like to have as many adventures as I can (with intermittent lazy days in there sometimes).
I’m really good at
I'm really awesome at being modest.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'll be sure to ask people to make a quick list of things they notice about me immediately after meeting me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: Anything Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain being #1), The Matrix trilogy, Star Wars, What Dreams May Come, 300, the remade Batman trilogy, Waking Life, Crash, Let the Right One In, The Shawshank Redemption, Ip Man, Blade Runner, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Airplane!, Moon, and so many more...

Music: Anything under the sub-genres of Rock and EDM, classical (mellow and/or sad preferred), jazz, and really most anything other than country and polka.
Noteworthy mentions: Junkie XL ("Today" album), Sunlounger, Mt. Eden, Above & Beyond (and OceanLab), Pink Floyd, Rise Against, Lostprophets, Streetlight Manifesto, Rob Dougan, Clint Mansell, George Winston, Dave Brubeck, Cunninlynguists, CYNE, and (like movies) so many more...

Books: I'm, sadly, less read than I should/would like to be. I'm remedying this by getting the classics and going through them.
[Update: I held to my word and I've gotten Plato's Republic, The Great Gatsby, and Slaughterhouse Five done. Currently up are The Prince and 1984.
Shows: M*A*S*H, The Newsroom, Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who, House, E.R. (back in the day), Rescue Me, One Piece, Arrested Development, Archer, 30 Rock and a few others... but I really don't catch TV or shows much anymore.

Food: Oh man, this could go on a while. The only things I really don't like are some veggies and many condiments. I actually am both brave and a wuss about trying things (it makes sense to me). Though I get much less wussy when outside the United States.
The six things I could never do without
1) Traveling
2) Learning
3) Music
4) Awesome people
5) Cold weather/snow at some extended duration during the year. Also, (in the winter) Snowboarding!
6) Staying active and fit.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Future plans/goals, trips, self-improvement, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
jumping on a RyanAir flight out to somewhere new, and working things out as I go along.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a sucker for a happy ending in a movie or show.

I lose all manliness around cute birds and dogs.

It's not really that private, but I seem to have done a pretty good job of covering it up: I am pretty geeky. Don't believe me? Try me.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–27
  • Located anywhere
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners, casual sex
You should message me if
You think we match well.
You love cold weather and snow.
You like to stay fit/in shape.
You consider intelligence, depth, and/or thoughtfulness to be important qualities.
I'm a sucker for sweethearts and goofiness, but also for motivation and ambition.
You think there's a darn good possibility that we can have awesome conversations that will get past "How're you doing?"
If visited your profile, there's a good chance it means that I didn't have time to message, or I plan on messaging you when I can think of something entertaining and interesting that would make you want to message back. Beat me to it if you'd like.

Oh yeah, side note: I fly to all kinds of places when I have the chance, and though some people find 4+ hours driving to be long, to me it's just another weekend trip. So don't let distance stop you from messaging.
