My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I don't like writing about myself, but then again, who does? Bloody narcissists, that's who! I'm normally a pretty shy and quiet guy, but easy to get along with nevertheless. I'm very much an introvert, so it takes a little while for me to open up to people, but once I do I'll talk your ear off. I'm a geek, and I make no apologies for it. If you aren't at least a little bit of a nerd yourself, then I probably have no interest in getting to know you. Go watch your football and drink your bud light, or whatever it is you non-nerdy types do...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a graduate degree in English. My emphasis is in Renaissance and Medieval literature. So, yeah, semi-unemployable. At the moment, I work as a full time assistant manager/delivery driver for Domino's, which is what I was doing in school. It pays the rent, yeah? I'm looking to start substitute teaching or tutoring to get my feet wet, as I don't yet have much teaching experience apart from teaching a summer literature course at the 29 Palms Marine base for National University. To be honest, I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do, career-wise. I majored in English because I've always been a bookworm, and trust that eventually I'll find something that suits me, whether that's teaching, writing, or something else.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Pointing out incorrect apostrophe usage, bad spelling, and other such malefic uses of the English language.

Being a music/book/beer snob
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably the first thing people notice about me is that I'm generally a pretty quiet person, at least upon first meeting someone. However, once I meet somebody with whom I share some interests I usually open up quite a bit. At times I can be a bit socially awkward. People seem to think that I have an imposing vocabulary, and tend to point this out to me on a fairly regular basis...I don't know, I feel like I'm often still left wanting for the appropriate word/words I'm looking for in many situations.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I have pretty eclectic tastes, especially in music. My music collection consists mostly of British rock and Indie music,as well as some gothic rock, synthpop, and black metal. Some of my favorite artists include David Bowie, Gary Numan, The Jam, Pulp, Roxy Music, The Beatles, The National, Placebo, Suede, The Smiths & Morrissey, Sunny Day Real Estate, Peter Murphy, Siouxsie and The Banshees, TV on The Radio, The Decemberists, 16 Horsepower, The Dresden Dolls, Neko Case, Dead Can Dance, and I could go on...and on.

I divide my reading time between established "classics" and escapist literature, mostly fantasy and science fiction. Some of my favorite books are "Paradise Lost," the works of Shakespeare, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland/ Through the Looking Glass," The Phantom Tollbooth," The Foreigner series by C.J. Cherryh, The First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie, and "The Great and Secret Show" by Clive Barker.
I also read a lot of comic books, including most of the Batman and X-men related titles. Some of my favorite series include "Transmetropolitan, "Y the Last Man," and "The Unwritten."

As for movies, I like quirky comedies or off the wall action or fantasy films. Some of my favorites are "Kill Bill," "Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World," "Brazil," "Labyrinth," and the Lord of the Rings.
I like comedy shows, mostly. "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "Community," "The IT Crowd," "The Simpsons," etc.

I'm not a picky eater, I'll try just about anything. I especially love Mexican and Japanese cuisine.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order:
My friends and family (does that count as one?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I should really start writing on a regular basis (I've started working on a novel, but it's slow going so far), what I'm going to read next, traveling, life, the universe, and everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working. Boo.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I used to be a big cynophobe (look it up). I got over it.
