My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Outgoing, adventurous, strong-willed lady seeking athletic, risk-taking, go-get-'em dude.

I don't see the point in not challenging myself - life is so boring when you don't take risks. Travel solo? Yes, please. Doing the opposite of what people advise me to do? Sometimes, sure. Making the first move? You don't scare me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Breaking a sweat, washing camp and trail dirt out of my hair in a cold mountain river, traveling to only the coolest places for work and even cooler places for pleasure, running 50k, trying new things that scare me, standing on my hands, j'apprend francais, being the best aunt EVER!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Going through the flow, on my mat, in a heated room.

Laughing hysterically with my sister when no one else around understands what is so funny. But trust us, it's hilarious!

Taking the occasional and much-needed break to stay in for the night, create a new healthy meal, and crack open whatever I am currently indulging in (meaning both vin rouge and a good read).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've got an ass that won't quit.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I enjoy memoirs, books about adventure and how to run really fast, classics, and historical fiction. A few faves: A Walk in the Woods (Bill Bryson), Wild and Tiny Beautiful Things (Cheryl Strayed), Americanah (Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie), Into Thin Air (Krakauer), Run! (Dean Karnazes), and Jane Eyre (Bronte).

I love movies but don't watch enough of them. Faves? Love Me If You Dare, Away We Go, The Way Way Back, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. I am binging on French foreign films these days.

I am definitely one of those people who does not like to sit and watch television (I'm guessing most of you feel me). However, when I'm washing dishes, I like to have a show or podcast playing to help kill the time. The Walking Dead and Downton Abbey have me hooked. New Girl makes me smile and Parks and Rec slays me.

My weekly podcasts fixes come in the form of Dear Sugar and This American Life, though I also love Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, RadioLab, SYSK, and the Moth.

Music I can listen to all the time: Jose Gonzales, Neko Case, Lana del Rey, The Head and the Heart, The Tallest Man on Earth, Brandi Carlile, Bey, The Pixies, The Wild Ones, Florence + the Machine, Fleetwood Mac, and Alt-J.

I am adventurous with food and beverage. Who wants to be picky?! Boring! And annoying... I love veggies, but burgers are a weekly must!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1 - My niece and nephew
2 - Any adventure that gets my heart pumping and my lungs full of fresh air
3 - Pages (No kindle, no thank you)
4 - Airplanes - too many places to see in this one huge world
5 - My bike (I currently am enjoying the carless lifestyle and always crossing my fingers for no rain)
6 - The Pacific Northwest
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How I can check off another item on my 35x35 list which is comprised of 35 adventures I need to have between the ages of 30 and 35. Next on my list: climb at Smith Rock and build a house for habitat for humanity.

Where else I can cut corners while still living the life I want to live so that when I soon buy my first home I am not completely strapped for cash.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
So many things... Usually my Fridays start with a hot yoga class, then I'm heading out for a weekend camping trip, going to bed early to prepare for an early Saturday morning mountain climb or trail run, rock climbing with friends, exploring the many excellent plates of Portland, riding bikes to the bluffs or Tabor for an evening picnic, making a big pot of soup and getting cozy with a book (or Don Draper), going to a show, drinking champagne cocktails, giving my niece a bath and reading her books before tucking her into bed, or going to Laurelhurst for a cheap movie and pitcher of cider.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a major crush on Peter Sagal. He is a total babe magnet.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to climb a mountain with me one day, and just chill in the sun the next.

You can gracefully throw me around in acro yoga (and elsewhere...).

You're not looking for a pen-pal and would like to meet to get to know each other rather than send emails back and forth.

You are adventurous and like to try new things, travel to new places and do things out of the norm. You love to get outside and get moving. And you want all of these things in a lady as well.

A road trip up through Canada, or south to Moab/Arches/Zion/etc. sounds like a great (not first) date.
