I am shy, silly, and restless.

My Self-Summary

*** Okay, while I'll still log in and junk, I'm not really looking for anything more than friends right now. If you still want to message me, feel free!***

As long as this profile is still around, I figure I might as well update it...

I'm going to be honest : I don't know why I have a profile here. I could say I'm looking for love, or friendship, or a connection of any sort, and it would probably be true. But whether or not I really believe I'll find it through a dating site remains to be seen. I think more than anything it's a fear to close off any possibilities. I have the kind of luck where I would delete this profile, and the very next day is when my soulmate would have seen it.

So what is there to know about me? I'm a shy girl, sometimes painfully so. I know it holds me back, but it's just how I am. Until you get to know me in person, I think I can come across as unfriendly, because I really don't know how to interact with new people. Once you get to know me you'll be wondering where the heck this loud, goofy girl came from, and if you can return me without a receipt.

I like reading, writing, and photography. Really anything that has to do with the creative arts I'm a fan of. I can be found with my head buried in a book in most of my free time, but it could be anything from Catcher in the Rye to a crappy romance novel. I'm not a snob about any of my movie choices, or the books I read, but you better believe I love my music with all my heart.

I write. All the time. Everywhere. I'm up until 5 some nights tapping away at my keyboard, and I never go anywhere without paper. You never know when something will hit you.

So, I guess, as lame as it sounds, I really would like to make a connection. Anyone out there in the market for a shy, mixed up girl? I'm good at hugging, and I love to cuddle - until you try to steal my covers. I'm a friendly, silly girl who likes to look at the stars and wax poetic about life, love, and the lack thereof.

Don't hesitate to message me if you think I sound like your idea of cool.

What I’m doing with my life

Wasting it... just kidding.

Only, I'm not.

I work, I sleep, and I waste time like nobody's business. And while I'm at it I feel restless, and meant for something more.

I'm just trying to figure out what to do with my time, and the rest of my life.

I’m really good at

Taking ameture pictures, writing cool stories that never get finished, and other creative junk.

I bake like nobody's business, and I don't really eat much sweet stuff, so my family and friends usually benefit from that. I cook, too, but I'm a pretty picky eater, so I'm definitely not meant for culinary school!

I'm a good friend, a great listener, and will give any advice I can if you come to me for help. I've got two shoulders suitable for crying on, or whatever else you can think of that involves shoulders.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'll go with my eyes - they're unique, and lovely, and probably my favorite feature.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

(a) Cather in the Rye, Ender's Game, anything Dean Koontz, I Know This Much Is True, Deathlands (because I'm a geek), the Perks of Being a Wallflower, and trashy romance novels with questionable plots. I also admit to liking the Twilight series. I'll read pretty much anything.

(b) 28 Days Later, American Beauty, A Lot Like Love, Grave of the Fireflies, Equilibrium, Jurassic Park, Radio Flyer, Road to Perdition, most things Shyamalan... and countless others. I like and watch almost anything, so I'm not picky, but I hesitate to call many movies my favorites. I usually won't watch foreign films, though... I have too much trouble following the action and reading the lines at the same time, so it feels too much like work to enjoy.

(b.2) Because TV shows aren't movies, but deserve to be mentioned, I also enjoy the following : Battlestar Galactica, Burn Notice, House, NCIS, Psych, Supernatural, Survivorman, the Food Network, and the Discovery Channel.

(c) Alkaline Trio, All American Rejects, Black Lab, Course of Nature, Coldplay, Dallas Green, Dashboard Confessional, Duncan Sheik, (early) Fall Out Boy, Greenwheel, Goo Goo Dolls, Jack's Mannequin, Jimmy Eat World, Lifehouse, Matchbox 20, Matchbook Romance, Our Lady Peace, Something Corporate, Sugarcult, Third Eye Blind, Vast,... pretty much anything, country included. I'm too lazy to make a bigger list.

(d) I'm pretty sure anything tastes good with Colby on it. I could live off of cheese fries, but attempt to supplement my diet with things that won't kill me by age 30. ;)

The six things I could never do without

1. My family and friends. Without them, life would just be empty.
2. My computer, both as a source of entertainment, expanded connection with people, and a place to write.
3. My car... as nice as walks are, I can't fathom not being able to drive.
4. My pets. There's nothing quite like coming home after a terrible day and seeing someone so happy just to have you there.
5. Creativity in its many forms.
6. Love, or the hope of love. I'm a hopeless romantic who thinks love is worth the pain.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything.

No, that's not a cop out. I think way too much about everything. "Hey, that sunset would look awesome in black and white!" to "What is the meaning of life?" (It's probably not 42.) My mind is constantly in motion, and underneath it all, I'm forever thinking about how I would write it out on paper.

As she finished writing the profile, she wondered if she was just being silly. Surely she couldn't find love online... but who was she to tell love where it could or could not be found?

She shook her head, such a silly girl she was, and clicked "save".

On a typical Friday night I am

I'm not big into the club scene, so I usually spend Fridays at home watching cheesy TV or movies, reading, or chatting to all those lady friends of mine on the internets. ;)

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I will probably make you work for it.

Take that however you want to take it.

Keep in mind, I'm a classy girl!

(Now, I should probably mention I'm terrible at answering e-mails... so, seriously... you're gonna have to make it worth my while! ;P)

You should message me if

You can't get Jurassic Park back online without Dennis Nedry. (No, really.)

If you're looking for something more than you've found. If you think we would be a good match, or you just want someone to talk to. I'm not one of those trusting people who will meet you within one day of talking to you, though, so be prepared to get to know me first.
