My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'd like to think that I'm equal parts nerd and athelete.

There are few things that make me happier than a bad book and a sunny day.

I love people with a refined sense of sarcasm--who can really appreciate how absurd life can get, and don't come away bitter from the experience.

I'm in a really good place right now. I live in a fantastic city, have a job that keeps me interested, a hobby that's my passion, and don't have any time to be bored.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spend my days writing, which still seems a little too good to be true. I'm a tech writer, so every day I get to puzzle over words. It's a nerdy dream come true.

I spend my nights in a warehouse in West Oakland, with a leaky roof and asbestos-lined walls. It's where I skate, with my derby team, the Wrecking Belles. This year we're 2 'n 0 for home league games, and brought home the gold in the 2014 Battle for the Coast. Yeah, we're kinda bad assed.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Rollerskating. Yeah, the old fashioned kind with eight wheels and toe stops. It's less natural talent and more stubborn insistence, but every once in a while I get to skate in front of a thousand fans, and that's pretty cool in my book.

Lifting. Heavy things! I've fallen in love with the gym. Every morning I get up way too early to go pick up heavy things and put them back down again. I like knowing that each week I'm a little stronger than the one before.

Words. I consider myself a word nerd. I love learning new words, especially when they can make a sentence come together in an elegant way. My current favorite is "depricate", which I put to use all the time these days.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My knees. Everything else is out of their field of vision.

(I might be slightly closer to 5'12")
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Cheap wine
Broken motorcycles
Quad skates
Chicken vindaloo
Worn books
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Keeping my sentences short. Trust me, it's a struggle.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Spending time with friends playing board games, pretending I can dance, or anything else to decompress from the week. Really, Friday depends on the week before it. It can be as mellow or exciting as the spirit calls for.
