My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Two very important things up front:

1) I am a transgender man (FTM). If you don't know what trans* is, or what it means, and you'd like to find out, please go here to read about it:

2) I am also poly, meaning I am not monogamous. I currently have two wonderful cis-female partners who I'm very serious about. At this point, I'm only interested in meeting other men (trans or cis) for short or long term dating. See "You should message me if" section below.

I'm queer, kinky, and a gamer-geek. I go to cons, I read graphic novels, I go to filk shows, I play D&D and board games.

I am goofy, geeky, and a punning linguist
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in the computer industry as a technical writer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
My superpower is the ability to turn almost any statement into a sexual innuendo. Also, I can wiggle my nose & ears. But not when I'm giggling.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
In the summer, it's the big blue mohawk. That's gone now, so I'm in the growing my hair back stage. The blue mohawk is a thing I do every summer (yes, there's a story behind that). But normally, it's my deep blue eyes and long eyelashes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
(A) Oh, goodness - where to start? I like Sci-Fi and Fantasy, some horror, especially Gothic horror. I also enjoy graphic novels, and occasionally non-fiction books on subjects I find interesting. Lately that's been North Korea. Fave authors include William Gibson, Bruce Sterling, Neal Stephenson, Neil Gaiman, Charles DeLint, Alan Moore, Umberto Eco, Elie Wiesel, Seanan McGuire, Cherie Priest.

(B) My taste in movies follows my taste in books - solidly sci-fi & fantasy, with a mix of Gothic horror: Bladerunner, The Matrix (loved the first one, hated the last one, the one in the middle was ok), LOTR, Serenity, The Princess Bride, Stardust, old Hammer horror films, black and white vampire movies, 1980s stuff like Say Anything, The Breakfast Club, Star Wars (most of them), anything with Johnny Depp. I also have a soft spot for animated movies like Despicable Me, Kung Fu Panda, Monsters Inc., 9. The Jungle Book is my all-time favorite animated Disney movie (the original version, not the crappy one with music by Phil Collins). I can sing practically all the songs, except the for last one "My Own Home" which bugged the crap out me when I was little. If I was living in the jungle with a bear as my best friend, why would I want to go live in the man-village with some girl whose only goal in life was to be a proper little housewife? Booooring!

(C) Techno, Indie, Rock, Classic Rock, Classical, Alternative, Punk, Folk Rock, Celtic. I have a special place in my heart for 80s New Wave music, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I like dubstep! Fave artists include: Queen, Led Zepplin, T. Rex, Depeche Mode, Tom Waits, The Cure, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Kate Bush, Annie Lennox, Sarah McLachlan, Peter Gabriel, The Ramones, Tom Waits, Talking Heads/David Byrne, Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry, Indigo Girls, Dar Williams, K.T. Tunstall, S.J. Tucker, Bone Poets Orchestra (formerly Gaia Consort, Abney Park, Rufus Wainwright, Rusted Root, Moxy Fruvous, Ani DiFranco. Did I mention I like Tom Waits?

(D) I've got pretty broad taste in cuisines: Indian, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian, Greek, Afghan, Trinidadian. I used to be vegetarian, but although I've returned to my meat-eating ways, I can be quite happy eating vegetarian. I love tofu, and my miso soup recipe is my go-to alternative to chicken noodle soup to fight winter colds. I absolutely love sushi!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What the next stage of my current project is, and when will I find time to do all the other projects that are lined up waiting behind it?

Also, what I really want to be when I grow up.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually watching something streaming online at home with the family.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am very orally fixated.

If you're looking for a sidekick for local adventure, hijinx, or some other form of shenanigans. If you want to play board games at our house once a month. If you want to go hiking, walk the dogs, or do something outdoorsy. If you're looking for a cuddle buddy. If you're looking for a FWB type of arrangement. Or, if you just feel like it.
