My self-summary
Hey s'up, I'm Leroy.

I'm 25 years old and I live on a family farm in north-eastern Victoria.
I'm a Geek at heart and love sci-fi. I'm not a hardcore gamer but I do enjoy wasting my life away playing video games when I have the time and or money too. I also read comics when I have the time and money.
What I’m doing with my life
At the moment not a lot. Mostly just taking jobs where I can, which at the moment is seasonal weed spraying, while working around the family farm, while looking for something more permanent.
But yeah, otherwise not alot.

I'm interested in film making, but at the moment I'm still trying to figure out how to make that happen
I’m really good at
Daydreaming, thinking about random crap, lying on hammock and looking at the stars. Also apparently, according to my friends and family, I'm a good cook

I also pride myself on my ability to develop emergency/contingency plans for such events as the zombie apocalypse or the zombie apocalypse...
Yeah ok, so I've honestly only planned for the forthcoming zombie apocalypse, but I could plan for other things if I want to...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like science fiction films. So Star Wars is up there of course, that's a bit of a no brainier.
Pacific Rim... FUCK YEAH!
Avengers was one of favorite movies of 2012, and is easily the best comic/superhero movie ever made. Then again all the Marvel made movies have been good.
Absolutely love Edgar Wright's films, in particular his 'Blood, Sweat and Ice Cream' series (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and the Worlds End).
Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit movies are also good.
As far as animated movies go, I think How to Train Your Dragon is amazing and brilliant.
Also loved all the Jackass movies, and thought Jackass 3D was probably the best 3D movie I've seen and Bad Grandpa was fucking hilarious.

TV Shows
Stargate, love it! Hate "Sy-Fi" with a burning passion for effectively ending the franchise.
I'm madly in love with Starz Spartacus series. I like Game of Thrones but I think the books are so much better.
Really like Castle, Hannibal and Life, but not really into any other cop/procedural shows.
Currently loving Vikings.
Loved both the Band of Brothers and the Pacific miniseries.
Also have a soft spot for Adventure Time and Regular Show and think Archer is fucking hilarious. So is Rick and Morty.

A Song of Fire and Ice series by George R.R. Martin, Dune by Frank Herbert, The Temperance Brennan books by Kathy Reichs and of course The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.
As for comics, Maus by Art Speigelmen stands above all. It's just such a powerful and amazing story.
All Star Superman is probably my favorite Cape comic, I also really like Green Lantern comics in the lead up to both the Sinestro Corps War and Blackest Night and loved Justice League New Frontier.
As far as poetry goes, I'm quite partial to 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' by Samuel Coleridge and who could go past Poes 'The Raven'?

Blink-182 (Mostly their older stuff), The Offspring, Daft Punk, Mumford and Sons, Andrew W.K, Green Day, Vampire Weekend, Paramore, Lupe Fiasco, Eminem, Drapht. Basically just anything that sounds good.

The GTA series, my personal favorite being Vice City. That said, I do kinda like the Saints Row games some what more then GTA, mostly just for the random stupid fun aspect.
But my all time favorite game would have to be Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Seriously, you don't get much better then that.

Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Indian... Its all good, I'm not really fussy.
Well actually that's a lie. I do get kinda fussy with meat. It's not that I don't like meat, just that I'm really picky about it.

Love Chilli and hot foods.
The six things I could never do without
As long as I have the basic necessities (Air, food, shelter/warmth, etc) I could do without pretty much anything.

I guess I could tell you the six things that I'd rather not do without instead...
1-Freedom of some sort
2-My computer
5-...ok so I guess it'll just have to be five things then.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Some of the most random crap you can imagine.

Also the universe and how amazing vast it is.
Our nearest neighboring stars is Alpha Centauri just over 4 light years from us (1 light yeah being about 10 trillion km).
Our galaxy, the Milky Way is about 120,000 to 150,000 Light Years across and contains about 400 billion stars.
3 million Light Years from the Milky Way is the Triangulum Galaxy which is about 75,000 Light Years across. A bit more closer at only 2 million Light Years away is the Andromeda Galaxy, which is about the same size as us.
Along with about 30 other smaller galaxies, ranging from about 5,000 Light Years to 10,000 Light Years in size, these masses of stars make up our Local Group Cluster which is about 4 million Light Years wide.
Our Local Group Cluster is just one of many in the Virgo Super Cluster which is about 75 million Light Years across.
And that's just our small region of an Infinite Universe...

Feeling small yet?
On a typical Friday night I am
At home.
Not really a lot to do around where I live...
