My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up in suburbs of New York, was a volunteer firefighter, went to undergrad in a small college in Amish County PA, skied professionally, and lived in Israel.

Otherwise, I'm drinking bourbon, cursing the inevitable red line delays, going skiing Saturday, playing soccer on Sunday, and dreading the commute for Monday.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just got a new job at a tech firm so I am trying to figure out exactly what I am supposed to be doing. I'm really excited for something new.

I really want to get out and do some skiing this winter, get into hiking and rock climbing this summer, and just generally get outside and out of the office. Plus I have an apartment with a balcony AND a grill now, all I need is some deck furniture and I'll be living the high life.

But I'm also trying to finish this list:

So far I'm 8 down.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Looking into my refrigerator and not knowing what to cook for dinner, skiing, cooking breakfast, and dragging myself out of bed in the morning to go to the gym. Also saying "that's what she/he said" at the perfect time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'm slowly making my way through Game of Thrones, but its tough reading it after seeing the show and knowing what happens. I mean really Ned Stark, why would you tell Cersei your plans?! But I go back and forth between that and reading a few books.

And I'm trying to think of a list of movies and music that I like but my interests are so broad. So for movies I like everything except horror and music I like everything except for country.

I'm just binged through Man Seeking Woman, I don't know how they were able to so accurately depict my life, but its really scary. Otherwise, Game of Thrones, Archer, The West Wing, and Parks and Rec, Seinfeld, Boardwalk Empire, Homeland, Orange is the New Black, you know stuff like that. Heres an unpopular opinion, especially in DC, I actually dont like House of Cards.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Running, good food, friends, reading, calling up my brother and seeing what ridiculous antics his landlord/employer Maurice is up to this week, and sushi (seriously, if I lived in Japan I would be eating sushi and drinking sake all the time).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How do I get a job that will let me travel around the world or live in another country? Where should I go skiing next season? And (back when I was applying for jobs) if I uploaded a resume into the system why do I still have to write in all the information into another form?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
In class. Seriously. I am taking a certificate at Georgetown and that is Friday nights and Saturday all day. So until the end of April, I have half a weekend, which isn't fun because I'm usually doing something more exciting than going to class.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Every time I buy peaches I get "Peaches" by Presidents of the United States stuck in my head, every time without fail.

If you want to say hello, I've got some good stories like how I thought a 400 pound man was having a heart attack and that I have actually saved a cat in a tree. Also if you want to go to Eastern Market one weekend, it's pretty awesome, plus there's a doughnut truck. Plus if you have a dog, dogs are awesome.
