My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up in suburbs of New York, was a volunteer firefighter, went to undergrad in a small college in Amish County PA, skied professionally, lived in Israel, and just got my Master's in International Affairs.

Otherwise, I'm drinking bourbon, cursing the inevitable red line delays, playing soccer on Saturday, brunching on Sunday, and thinking about getting a bike again.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm working at a small consulting firm in the city doing first responder/disaster management program management, its my first real job since getting my Masters so I'm pretty excited.

I really want to get out and do some skiing this winter, get into hiking and rock climbing this summer, and just generally get outside and out of the office.

But I'm also trying to finish this list:

So far I'm six down.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Looking into my refrigerator and not knowing what to cook for dinner, skiing, cooking breakfast, and dragging myself out of bed in the morning to go to the gym. Also saying "that's what she/he said" at the perfect time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm slowly making my way through Game of Thrones, but its tough reading it after seeing the show and knowing what happens. I mean really Ned Stark, why would you tell Cersei your plans?! (Season 4 can't come out fast enough). But I go back and forth between that and reading a book on intelligence in war.

And I'm trying to think of a list of movies and music that I like but my interests are so broad. So for movies I like everything except horror and music I like everything except for country.

Game of Thrones, Archer (Lana. Lana! LANA! Danger Zone!), The West Wing, and Parks and Rec, Seinfeld, Boardwalk Empire (The season is starting to get better), Homeland, Orange is the New Black, and I just finished True Detectives last weekend damn is that good. Plus Jeopardy, but I will yell out answers if I know them (and also probably if I don't).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Running, good food, friends, reading, calling up my brother and seeing what ridiculous antics his landlord/employer Maurice is up to this week, and sushi (seriously, if I lived in Japan I would be eating sushi and drinking sake all the time).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How do I get a job that will let me travel around the world or live in another country? Where should I go skiing next season? And (back when I was applying for jobs) if I uploaded a resume into the system why do I still have to write in all the information into another form?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Every time I buy peaches I get "Peaches" by Presidents of the United States stuck in my head, every time without fail.

If you want to say hello, I've got some good stories like how I thought a 400 pound man was having a heart attack and that I have actually saved a cat in a tree. Also if you want to go to Eastern Market one weekend, I haven't been there yet and I hear its great and apparently there's a doughnut truck. Plus if you have a dog, dogs are awesome.
