Hello, and thank you for stopping by!

I am a passionate, authentic, intelligent, sincere, fun, realistic, chivalrous, tender-hearted and loyal soul. I'm not the type of person who will chuck in the towel on a relationship easily. That said, I'm no push over either and should not nor will not be mistaken for one. I am extremely loyal to friends, family and myself and I never feel like selling my soul. I genuinely care about the people in my life.

As a champion of "the great equalizer", I'm the first person to laugh at myself. I intensely dislike when people are arrogant or self righteous and I will call you out on it depending on your latitude on treating others.

I'm also a proud Father of a brilliant, charismatic, handsome, charming, fiery and fiercely intelligent and incredibly well-mannered 8-year old boy who is THE love of my life. My Son is my best friend, my rock, my touchstone and teacher. I've never known such a awe inspiring, unconditional love before.

Okay. So let us get down to the brass tacks, shall we?

• I'm confident, but not cocky.
• I'm very loyal, supportive and I readily have your back.
• I have solid values and moral compass.
• I don't have many heroes, but I do have countless influences.
• A do-gooder, but definitely not a shit-taker.
• I love public display of affection.
• I'm perfectly content with driving for hours only to arrive in the middle of nowhere.
• I am a quick and accurate judge of character and I have a short attention span for stupidity.
• I'm perpetually trying to improve myself and HATE helplessness, lack of common sense and the inability to make ANY decision.
• I have a friendly and generous personality with a strong moral compass despite no religious obligations.
• I'm 100% clear in my like and dislikes, though what "works" for me doesn't always work for someone else. I'm open and respectful those differences.
• I prefer people (even strangers) that have their own individual talents or oddities that makes being around them stimulating, pleasant and exciting.
• I know that what works best for me, might not work well for others. If left to my own devices, you'll get nothing but the best from me every time.
• I am a creative perfectionist, but I am highly imperfect just like all the rest of us.
• I play hard, hit harder and I love equally as hard.
• I don't have time for trivial BS drama and you don't either.
• I have a wicked sense of humor and I can be very sarcastic. I'm quick with a joke and I'm the first to laugh at myself.
• I'm a very upbeat, humorous, warm, sincere guy.
• It's all rather friendly under my umbrella.
What I’m doing with my life
Staying souled up and sussed out with positivity and plenty of laughs.

When I'm needing release from all THAT, I'm working on my debut album and accompanying singles for my electro-pop duo, Evarial:
I’m really good at
Being a damned great, loving Father/teacher, being level-headed, even-keeled, firm and fair, backing up the under dog, and serving up Molotov realness when it is needed - you know, like any respectable person would/should do.
The first things people usually notice about me
*Grimaces* I don't seek that kinda stuff out, but I have been told my humor, my kindness, my optimism, my dark sarcasm, my consistently "dirty" laugh, my wit... *Grimaces* (Moving on...)

I'm definitely lucky to have people notice THAT much. It's nice to be noticed at all, right? Who doesn't want that? I'm grateful and flattered that it happens at all.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Impossible to list. My natural inclination is to electronic, pop music, such as my heroes Pet Shop Boys (No; I'm serious!), New Order/Joy Division, Marc Almond/Soft Cell, Depeche Mode followed on by Jesus and Mary Chain, Pop Will Eat Itself, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Iggy Pop, Erasure, Renegade Soundwave, Nitzer Ebb to name an initial few.

If I *had* to nutshell this, it'd be Synth-pop, electro, dub, disco, Italio disco, experimental, progressive house, deep house, late 80's house/early 90's acid house, breakbeat, old-school industrial, EBM, EDM, and torch.

Everything and anything ranging from Tamla/Motown, Verve and Blue Note record labels and forwards to Wax Trax!, Mute and Kompakt record labels and back again.

Getting me to talk about and geek out on music is one of my more favorite conversations. Trust that I'll burn your ears off if given the chance.

My absolute favorite book that I keep returning to time and time again to re-read cover to cover is Ghost rider: Travels on the healing road—Neil Peart.

Bought bedside books on my future reading list are:
• The unincorporated man—Dani Kollin and Eytan Kollin
• The Drunkard's Walk: How Randomness Rules Our Lives—Leonard Mlodinow
• Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division—Peter Hook

Mostly action, drama, horror, documentaries and sci-fi. The Departed, Bladerunner, The Divide, Proposition, Connery/Moore-era (they're the shit!) James Bond, Grindhouse, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, The Prophecy (hilarious), Spinal Tap (brilliant), Shaun of the Dead, Snatch... gah... SO many.

I enjoy much of the snarky, dark-humored comedies like Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Mighty Boosh, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Little Britain, Extras, Black Adder... any BritComs, really. Parallel to that are the highly developed plot/character driven/suspenseful shows like The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Jericho and such-like. But, only on DVD! How can someone wait week-to-week for a new episode? Screw that!

I'm just now getting into Breaking Bad and jonesing to watch all of the James Bond movies from Sean Connery to Roger Moore—because, frankly, they're the shit!. I'm a bit iffy about Pierce Brosnan and VERY skeptical about Daniel Craig. We'll see.

Let me say this, though— I absolutely loathe television.

Chinese, Italian, Indian, American, Greek. Anything that I can eat due to my picky eating.
The six things I could never do without

1. My seven year old Son and my Mother.
I come from a very small family and I am an only child. I never take my time and love for them for granted.

2. My intuition and instincts.
Not only have they forged my luck and life, but I am incredibly grateful that I have them as my guide "tools".

3. My reason and intellect.
Sounds pompous, no? Ugh. I list these because I work hard at remaining cool-headed, patient, and willing to hear both sides of the situation. It's not always easy, but I try to be firm, but fair.
As far as one's "smarts" goes, I'm definitely more street and emotionally smart than I am book smart. Though, I often brush up as much as I can. String theories and "bar knowledge" are equal par. I like learning.

4. My optimism and stability.
I'm a practical optimist. I still see the brighter side in grey situations while still eyeing the forecast, so-to-speak. I don't over-react. Sure, I can get pissed off, angry and passionate about stuff—but I'm on a consistent, even keel. My friends tell me that I bring balance to a situation. A huge compliment, I feel.

5. My sense of wonder and beauty.
I'm amazed by all of the important and incidental things around our lives. Take for example, a pock-marked area of rust. Or, the way neon shimmers in a rain puddle. The Golden Ratio in a nautilus shell. The quiet countryside. Or, the clicking of dress shoes on a sidewalk. All infinitely cool stuff to me.

6. Humor and its accompanying laughter.
I love crap jokes and a good ribbing with a tongue-in-cheek tease. Laughter is a great equalizer, bar none.

7. My resilience. I've faced and endured difficult situations and have consistently gone from strength to strength.

Anything else, I can fundamentally do without—except the obvious needs.

1. Pepsi.
It is my one and only vice.

2. Music.
It is energetic, suspenseful, beautiful, stark, sexy... I simply can't do without it.

3. Animals.
Specifically dogs. Cats are... *jiggles hand*.
What's not to love about an animal that looks like they're smiling when they dedicate? Seriously!

4. Science.
Science is the shit! From alternative medicines, string theory, bio-fuels, space-age polymers, nanotechnology... IFLS! (Points if you know those initials).

5. Technology.
While I have techno-joy with all the amazing tech that is being developed, I think that it's becoming too much and people are too super-connected. I really do believe I'm turning into a Neo-Luddite.

6. A fan while I sleep (even in Winter!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything, everything!

No, really. I love learning. My education in life has increased a million-fold once I wad outside of school. Curiosity IN the unknown and OF the unknown moves me because the world around us is endlessly fascinating. I try to soak it up as much as I can. Product design, hot baths, happiness, architecture, workflow, survival, creativity, manners, shitty jokes, self defense, tiny restaurants, photography, kitschy shops, witty and sarcastic remarks, the scent of a Summer sunset, thunderstorms, children laughing, the bustle of traffic, the silence of a countryside, the shimmer of downtown lights on a wet street, foggy mornings or any other of those perfect, incidental moments.

Honestly, SO much filters through. I love my brain gum.

I am a lifetime learner because it is in my blood. I'm a proud student of education/self education and information. I love all sorts of brain gum. Ever read Mental_Floss magazine? Totally up my alley.
On a typical Friday night I am
When I am not spending time and raising my son (sometimes during the week and exclusively at the weekends unless I make plans to do otherwise as my ex are friendly, amicable and share mutual custody), I prefer to stay busy over those free weekends with friends, shows, movies, book stores, tiny restaurants, kitschy shops and record stores. Or, the same things by myself as I'm very comfortable in my own skin and I am my best going-out partner.

Despite living in the Cities for many years, I'm only now really finding time to get out and explore more of these two (!!) cities and the entertainment and attractions it encompasses. We really are lucky having so much to choose and do, don'tcha think?

Perhaps, you'd be willing to explore and share together?
I can only do so much by myself.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm totally typing this nude. Yes; my hands are unclothed. PFFThahaha!

All the good stuff I'd share in person because 1) I believe in transparency, and 2) a public platform isn't the best or ideal place to share them, you know? Especially as people like to lurk through. I'm really not a fan of 'pedestrian insight' into my life.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 30–50
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
Because you'd really like to meet a truly genuine, secure, funny, stable, intelligent, articulate, caring, warm and wonderfully sincere, kind-hearted, respectfully great guy.

Friendship is definitely open and encouraged should there be no romantic interest or sparks. Why knock a potentially great friendship on its head due to lack of fireworks? Seriously, it's cool.

I'm MUCH more fun and entertaining than I come across in this profile. I mean, it's a wee bit serious, innit?

Go on, love! I'd be happy to hear from you!
