My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
At heart I'm really an artist/engineer. Whatever the medium, I love to create. When I'm not creating or building something, chances are I'm taking something apart and losing half the pieces.

If you'd like to get to know me better, check out some of the questions I have answered. There you will find clues about who I am, and where I've hidden the treasure. (or better yet, message me)

Likes:
All things geeky, b-list movies, video games, science fiction, putting Sriracha on everything, science, robots, obscure and often inappropriate references, acronyms, and lists.

I am an artist, a filmmaker, and a geek
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
In 2012 I ended my 7 year career as an artist/developer with Disney, and started a new adventure as a UI Director with an e-commerce startup in Santa Monica.

By night I am a co-founder of a production company called "The AV Club" that shoots pilots, short films, web series, etc. And the founder of the special effects company "Vex FX" which focuses on the halloween attraction industry as well as film & television.

My goal in life is to learn as much as I can about pretty much everything, create as many cool things as possible, meet lots of cool people, and share the world with someone special.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Drawing, painting, sculpting, woodwork, metalwork, graphic design, web design, game design, programming, 3d modeling/texturing, special effects makeup, motion graphics, photography, electronics/robotics, using commas and other more exciting forms of punctuation, and sarcasm.
The first things people usually notice about me

Probably the fact that I'm a 6'4" bearded guy with a hat.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to survive the impending zombie apocalypse. (Protip: machete)

Why the apparent goal of all bipedal robots is to poorly mimic human dance.

That our primary contribution to the future will be a near-infinite archive of cat pictures and nutshot videos.

How long it would take to develop an immunity to iocane powder.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If there is no big event or party, I have a few friends over on Friday nights to catch up on the TiVo, have dinner, etc. It used to be Sushi & SciFi night, but we've since branched out in both areas. Clothing is still optional.

Otherwise it's either partying at my friend's beach house or going on some random adventure.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Anything.

I try to be an open book to all who care to ask, so give it a shot!
