My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Pretty good at switching between laid back slack and unyielding tenacity depending on what's called for, absent minded most of the time, pretty smart but I've never been one for rubbing it in people's faces. For the most part, I'm just enjoying life and doing what seems right at the moment.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Short version: Cool science and engineering type stuff!

Long version: Graduated in '11 from UMU with a master's degree in physics. Specialized in quantum physics. My thesis was 80 pages of math explaining why small things behave more weirdly than large things. Alas, the job market of PhD-positions in my particular niche wasn't very promising, so I left the academic track, and got a job in computer programming. So now I build financial software. If you ever watched Office Space, that's a pretty decent description of the business.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
In general, I thrive on creative work and problem solving. Ideally, creative problem solving. That doesn't go to say I'm a skilled artist in any particular area. Jack of all trades, master of none sort of a deal. I suppose you could accuse me of being a serial-dabbler in creative things.

I'm pretty good at maintaining a healthy attitude about things. Being positive about life, not stressing about things that can't be changed, stuff like that.

I find writing entertaining and can't really help myself when I get an opportunity to do so. Like this profile thingamajig. It's needlessly turned into a huge wall of text.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hair defies gravity. Unless it's short. At those times I guess it doesn't (at least in a noticeable sense).

I'm also pretty tall.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I like old movies. The IPCRESS File is one of my favorites. There's something incredibly appealing about the notion that there is this world that doesn't exist anymore. A world without smartphones, where people drive different cars, and are worried about different world problems. Maybe that's just me though...?

As for TV, I guess I'm a bit of a nerd. I like most of what J J Abarms has produced. Alias, Fringe, Person of Interest. Doctor Who is nice too (both the old and dusty series, and the new one). Psych is arguably the pinnacle of funny. Most sci-fi is also nice, but they rarely seem to make much of that anymore. Oh well. ... recently I've been watching Supernatural. And Breaking Bad I guess. Oh, and Orphan Black is just brilliant!

Musically, there isn't much that I don't like in terms of genre. What I listen to shifts around quite a lot. Right now I'm into faux-'80s electro. Lazerhawk, Kavinsky, Powerglove, Miami Nights 1984. And general synthwave. Dynatron, Com Truise, Perturbator, Bourgeoisie, Rolly Mingwald. I don't listen to any metal, except Austrian Death Machine, because it is conceptually hilarious.

As for food, I like a medium-rare steak. Beer on the side is fine, but I'd prefer red wine. It's like condensed liquid debauchery. Everything from the smell, to the color, through the taste... Oh man. But I'm not a wine snob or anything.

In terms of video games, I have a sort on-again off-again Starcraft 2 thing going. But it makes me an angry person, so I mostly avoid it. I also play old school CRPGs. Fallout, Planescape: Torment, Baldur's Gate, and include recent titles, Dragon Age. And Skyrim I guess.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Challenges, sleep, creative outlets, spare time, wikipedia, and random bicycle rides around town.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
This ranges from sheer mathematics and philosophy to what lifestyle changes I can make to feel better or be happier. I'm not much of a day-dreamer, my thoughts are more along the lines of "Ok, how can I accomplish this..."
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dunno. Passed out in the couch from working all week? Maybe watching a film, on rare occasions with a glass of wine in my hand.

My Fridays are some serious James Bond shit ;-)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have very conflicted feelings about Ika i Rutan. On the one hand, she terrified me as a kid, on the other hand she's kinda cute, on the third hand, the show is from the late '80s and she is over 50 years old now and our romance can never happen.
