My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
"How strange it is to be anything at all."
I will judge you by the books on your shelf and the music on your ipod. I will judge you on your grammar and the proper use and spelling of words. I will cook breakfast for you and I or brunch for 20. I will be by your side or will leave you alone when you ask me to. I'm as comfortable walking the streets of Manhattan as I am hiking the peaks of Vermont, as comfortable in a tent in the woods as I am in a luxury suite. I would like to meet you at a local coffee shop or write to you online from across the world. I was born and raised in southern Vermont but I've lived in Arizona, San Antonio, Brooklyn and various places in New England centered around Vermont.
*UPDATE* Currently in an amazing relationship with an amazing woman but still welcoming great now people into my life for friendship and/or collaboration.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
working, playing, singing, acting, hiking, drawing, photographing, reading, writing, playing with books and much much more... like spending countless hours online.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Building, singing, acting, finding my way around a big city or a big forest, making connections, networking, showing you something you've never noticed before, listening to your interests, explaining mine and answering your question when you ask me what else I might be good at.
The first things people usually notice about me

Books: Many. Far too many to name here. I've made lists before and they're exhausting to write and to read.

I have a voracious appetite for History and I have infinite curiosity so I'm constantly researching. I also like looking at how novels translate into films.

Movies: Most of them. Particularly bio-pics, histories, intelligent comedies. Best to list my favorite directors: Terry Gilliam, the Coen Bros., Scorsese, Orson Wells (The third man is one of my very favorite films), Kaufman, Kubrick, Apatow, Wes Anderson, Zeffirelli, ... you know, the good directors. The list goes on. Also I stood 3 feet from Ang Lee and Demitri Martin while working as an extra on 'Taking Woodstock'. Lee gave my a head nod I'll never forget.

I'm also into Stand-up comedy on kind of an esoteric level. Bill Hicks, Eddie Izzard, David Cross Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy,to name a few.. Louis CK may be the best comedian working today. Also, I quote George Carlin more than clergymen quote Jesus.

Music: I believe all genres have some really good stuff and a lot of total crap. My tastes change with my mood. With my itunes on shuffle it currently looks like this: Bowie, Modest Mouse, Hendrix, Beck, Neutral Milk Hotel, Weezer, NIN, Phil Ochs, TMBG, Townes Van Zandt, Sublime, Beastie Boys, Zappa, Cake, Smokey Robinson, Beatles, Jethro Tull, Ramones, Ween... you get the idea.

Food: Yes please. Preferable organic. I love to cook and there are very few foods that I don't like, however, tomatoes, broccoli and avocado have turned against me. I get very ill if I eat them.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Why six?
Family/ Friends (there's often overlap here)
Something to write on be it a typewriter, computer or pad of paper.
My camera
Hiking trails
Sex/ intimacy
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to answer question like this.
Why C++ is a language option here..
Why we are here or for that matter why ANYTHING is here (see self-summary).
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
This question must suck for those in the service industry..
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've never been to Europe. I know that's not terribly private but it seems EVERYONE has the obligatory "I see London, I see France" photo up here.

Do I really have the power to set such stipulations? You either will or you won't. So maybe you will. Talk nerdy to me.

*I see you went to college.. So you must know the difference between "your", you're' and "yore".. how about "there", "they're" and "their"? So surely you know the difference between "to" too" and "two".. and for that matter "2"? "You" "u" and "ewe"? And you know that "ur" "dunno" "prolly" are NOT words? And one last thing: when you wrote "lol" were you really laughing out loud? Good! Glad we cleared that up.
