Hello, my name is Phil and I’m a geeky, indie game developer based in Manchester. I’m a friendly, outgoing gentleman who’s is looking to meet new people for friendship and maybe more.

I came to Manchester about 10 years ago now from the northeast to do my undergradauate and masters, moved into a house here, got some good friends and just haven't left really.

I always hate writing these, it's hard to sum yourself up in a little box but here goes:

Books: I love to read, I've made it through most of the classics, and pretty much anything I can get my hands on. I've resisted buying a kindle yet as I like just being about to throw a book in a bag and not having to worry about it. I do tend to favour my sci fi and fantasy. Joseph Heller, Neil Gaiman, Isaac Asimov, Frank Herbert , Iain M Banks, Dan Abnett, Douglas Adams, Pratchett, the list goes on because I love books...

Movies: I'm quite into my films, from cheesy grind house to epic Sci-fi, Black comedies, Ghibli's and period dramas. Not really a big romcom fan. I really enjoy going to the pictures to see films armed with a massive, overpriced coke and bag of popcorn.

Shows: I don't watch a lot of TV but I do like downloading shows, Dexter, Breaking bad, Game of thrones. I loved Lost and Battlestar when they were out. I do like my anime too (G.I.T.S, Bleach, Trigun etc) I also like podcasts like the Infinite Monkey Cage, or TED talks (they're both great things to have on in the background while I work)

Music: Very Eclectic. I started off as a little punk kid a long time ago and that grew into rock, metal, industrial, electronic, dance and trance. Throw in a little chip and classical you've just about got my music tastes. When I go out, I do like dirty, sweaty clubs where you can just dance

Food: I like to eat, I love all food and will try anything. I am very partial to Chinese and also love making a mess with a rack of ribs.

At home being a good boy, or having a drink with my friends, but once in a while I'll be floating around a club as a very happy Phil

I like wearing striped pop socks
