Movies: I like old horror movies and comedies. Some of my favorites
are the original Night of the Living Dead and
Monty Python and the Quest for
the Holy Grail. I also really like 80's comedies like the
Ghostbusters franchise and the Major League movies (except the
third one) and Ferris Buellers Day Off. I like movies with a
musical theme, but that aren't necessarily musicals, such as
Detroit Rock City, Empire Records and That Thing You Do.
Newer movies I enjoyed: The Sherlock Holmes movies with Robert
Downey Jr and Jude Law and Wreck It Ralph.
I hate chick flicks. Except Dirty Dancing & Pretty Woman.
Music: I like a lot of underground punk,
indie & pop rock bands. My top five
favorite would probably be (in no order):
The Forecast, The Sleeping, Steel Train, Melee, &
Punchline.
I also enjoy Gogol Bordello, the Graduate, the River City Rebels,
Girl Talk & Zero 7.
I also enjoy hippy music from the 60's (the Monkees, the Grass
Roots, Herman's Hermits, The Association, The Turtles, The
Buckinghams, etc...) and mod & post punk music that came out of
the late 70's & early 80's (the Jam).
Most mainstream hip hop disgusts me.
Food: I'm a sucker for anything sweet! I'm not a fan of vegetables
but I love fruits (continuing the "sweet" theme). I'm also a down
home type gal when it comes to food. I'm not too adventerous. I
don't like to combine my food and I'd prefer it not touch. I also
hate all condiments except bar-b-que sauce. Despite being a big
girl, I'm an exceptionally picky eater.
Television: I have thing for old cartoons, anything pre-1980. I
love the look of old animation. I like pro wrestling (
TNA especially). I also enjoy
watching MLB Network because I'm a huge baseball fan. Go
Yankees!
I love anything that makes me laugh: Top Gear (British), Archer,
Flight of the Conchords, Z Rock, Whitest Kids U Know, & To
Catch a Predator.
I also enjoy good stand up comedy. Some of my favorite comedians
are: Lewis Black, Mike Birbiglia, George Carlin, Demetri Martin,
Nick Swardson, Steve Byrne, Jim Gaffigan, & Jo Koy.
I really like game shows. But only the classics. Price is Right and
Match Game are two of my favorites. My favorite Price is Right game
is obviously Plinko.
I also enjoy the History Channel, Food Network (Good Eats), BBC
America, & Game Show Network.
I really like History Detectives & Antiques Roadshow (yes, I
realize this makes me a grandmother).
I love television more than one woman should.
