I am a chameleon. I can be the silly girl with pig tails jumping on a trampoline or running around shoe-less in the grass at a picnic. I can be quiet and brooding when something strikes a particular cord and requires self-reflection. I can be that slutty girl giving her man a lap dance in the middle of the club. At the same time, I can buckle down and work for 24 hours straight when my client's entire business is riding on my ability to create work product in a timely fashion. I can be mean and cruel with words when I feel hurt, threatened, or betrayed. For the most part, however, I like to laugh and be easy going. Not a single thing above defines me any more than the other, but the combination makes me who I am.

It is very humbling to realize that such a simple question, "What you are doing with your life?" requires so much self-reflection. My knee jerk response is that I am wasting my life away working insane hours at a law firm.

However, upon deeper examination, I actually like what I do (and my life generally) A LOT. Would I like to be able to say that I am a sexy nurse or a flight attendant when I am out at the club? Sure! Do I actually want to be a nurse or a flight attendant? Hell no! I like being a lawyer, a profession that constantly challenges my mind.

I fully understand the automatic "subtract 3 points for being a lawyer" and am still putting it out there. While animalistic passion is important, if there is no intellectual connection, things just do not work for me. I am not saying that I would rather discuss politics than have sex with my man, but you better stimulate my mind as much as you stimulate my body. :-p
