Yes, I am still bisexual, true sexual preference is determined from birth. I changed it because I'm looking for a long term relationship and the only people that really seem to be interested in me right now seem to be guys looking for either friends or casual sex partners. I want something more than that in my life now. I want to marry, I want to have children. While these things are still possible to some extent (requires moving and adopting) it will be much easier for me if I pretend to be straight. This is also beneficial to me due to my job, but fortunately the navy seems to be somewhat lax on those types of things. So in the mean time, for those of you who know me as being bisexual, that has not changed. With luck, maybe I'll start getting the attention of girls for once. Due to experience so far it seems that I am unattractive to women, but attractive to men. I already have enough confidence issues as it is! Recently I went to dinner and then ice skating with some of my friends. While out at dinner I noticed several girls that looked cute to me. My friends actually pointed them out and told me that I should go and talk to them. I declined as I had no clue what I would say. Of course afterwards I spent the rest of dinner looking over at them (one of which was looking at me quite often too). I spent a lot of the time thinking of what I might say to them IF I managed to work up the courage to talk to them. I never did talk to them and I am still working on what I might say to a girl to start a conversation. Somehow normal pickup lines just don't appeal to me. I already know that I need to work on my confidence, but I'm wondering how a girl might want someone to approach them.

A couple months ago I changed my profile from saying that I was looking for sex to not having that posted. Before the change I was getting a message or two a week at the very least. I don't think I've had more than 2 messages since I changed that several months ago. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed any similar results? Doesn't really matter in the long run, more just an observation on my part. I think I might try a few other "tests" as well...
