I like to spend time with people - I enjoy intellectually stimulating conversations, debates even - but it has to be about 'something' - not what Paris wore to the last premiere. I'm not very good at being gay, my friends say - I hate shopping, I like camping, hiking, can enjoy watching a hockey game (horrors!!). I like having friends over for dinner but it doesn't happen nearly as often as I wish it did.

I am loyal, loving, and pragmatic

Teacher of upper elementary grades and it keeps me very busy. If you have some teachers in your past you only vaguely remember - I am not one of those. I am highly involved in my school and with my students, making enjoyable activities. They come back just to hang out on Fridays just to say hi. My students, since 3 years ago, know I am gay. It has never been a problem. Some times of the year are much busier with end of term marking and reports.
I got into snowboarding but in Sept 09 I injured my knee and it is taking a while to heal. It keeps me off the volleyball and tennis courts too which I really have missed playing. However a successful operation in August 2010 had me back at vball within 5 months, and 9 months back at tennis. I have travelled fair bit the last few years - seven trips over almost 2 years. Pretty much every holiday I have gone somewhere.

...organizing things- helped organize a series of events for a fundraising once around the West End. My apartment is a different story....laundry on the sofa since Saturday? It happens...

you have any interest. I don't get some guys' behaviour here. I message (shows my interest), I get responses, plans are tentatively made (shows his interest), but then the other doesn't follow through. Or shows up, spends a few hours over beer/coffee lacking, laughing with no awkward moments....then doesn't call or respond to followup calls. If you're not interested be polite and say so, but don't waste people's time getting to phone number exchanges and then not doing what you said you were going to do. THAT is a big thing for me - follow through on what you said. It's called integrity.
