Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
For starters, I'm an INTP.
A little about me:
- I grew up wanting to be in show business in some fashion. I
nearly trained to be a child actor, but decided to focus on school
first & see if I still wanted to pursue that. Well, that did
change, and instead of being in front of the camera, I wanted to be
behind the scenes instead, so I set my path in TV/Film production.
Halfway through that venture in college, I discovered my natural
talent for audio production, and made the switch to radio
production/broadcasting--that's where I still am today. Presently
employed at a radio production office, and currently looking into
voice over/narration on the side.
- I have a tremendous love for astronomy. I love getting out of the
city/suburbs at least once or twice a year, just to look at the
night sky out in the desert.
- Disneyland Annual Pass holder. Premium all the way!
- I like going to shows/concerts, or checking out a museum I
haven't visited in years. Always excited to try new things and
experiences, as long as it's not scuba-diving or skydiving (medical
reasons bar me from those two activities).
- I don't drink or smoke, but it doesn't bother me if you do.
- I have a dry, but witty sense of humor. Love trading sarcastic
banter, playfully of course. I don't dig cynicism. As the immortal
words of Joel Hodgson, "Don't be an asshole."
- Lastly, I'm a big movie buff. I don't like to be the guy that
talks endless crap on movies I've never seen, so I'll give anything
a fair watch & judgement. Video games are cool, too, but the
older games are better, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, though,
I love me some Zelda, Pokemon, League of Legends, etc. Board games
are also amazing--independent ones, particularly. Games like
Powergrid, Munchkin, or Zombies!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I save lives by doing radio related things.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening, advice-giving, nodding my head in acknowledgement. I'm
also told I have a great voice; no argument here.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I may seem like the quiet, reserved type at first, and that's still
accurate. I wasn't born with a natural gift of the gab, but I can
ramble on about god-knows-what at times. I've noticed on a lot of
profiles, people say they're very shy until they start getting to
know someone. I think that's just a very common trait we all share,
so I can agree to being someone like that.
Oh, and my hair. It's long-ish and thick (no euphemism intended).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I wish I read more, honestly.
Movies: Top 5-- Sherlock Jr., Fantasia, A Day At The Races, Sound
of Noise, and Mystery Men (yes, that shitty movie with Ben Stiller,
shut up!) I love film.
Shows: MST3k, Top Gear (UK), Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares (again,
UK), Futurama, Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica (both old and
new), The Daily Show, Tim & Eric
Music: I'm all over the place with music. Everything from The
Beatles to Throbbing Gristle, from Frank Zappa to the Beastie Boys.
I don't care much for modern commercial rap or contemporary country
(underground rap like Lord Quas or MF Doom is good, though)
Food: I'm not vegetarian, let's put it that way. I AM lactose
intolerant for the time being, though. Milk and milkshakes hate my
guts... strangely, cheese doesn't!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Sense of humor (I don't want to live in a world without
2. Bottle of water (water is my booze)
3. Curiousity (Never stop asking "Why?"
4. Cargo pants (I'm usually stuck carrying everyone else's
5. Phone ("Siri says there's a comic book shop 3 blocks from here,
let's check it out.")
6. Hair ties (You never know)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Script/story ideas, the future, the present, life in general, the
universe, where'd my bottle of water go?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I'm not at a show/concert/event, then I'm usually on Steam or
watching a pretentious art-house film. Or Disneyland.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Stargazing sounds fun to you.
Or if you have a Disney pass.
In a nutshell, I'm looking for a companion--someone to share
experiences with, to explore the world with. I'm looking for
someone to make jokes with, exchange trenchant insight, someone who
needs another to listen. Preferably friends first, then see where
it goes from there.
