I am Awesome, Ridiculous, and A worthy adversary.

My Self-Summary

I have strong opinions on things like politics, environmental stuffs, interpersonal behavior, what constitutes good and bad music. How the human species is weakening itself, the ground it walks on, and how to not be party to it. I hope that doesn't come off as too standoff-ish, I thought Kanye did Taylor pretty dirty too.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm a guitar player and a vocalist, and have been studying the guitar for over 13 years. I knew I wanted to pursue music professionally about 4 months into my studies. My teacher has become a friend and mentor figure over the years. On one hand I'd love to insinuate what one could expect of my playing, on the other, I savor the joy in surprises.

I run a business transcribing music. I feel very grateful and privileged to be able to pursue my dream of being a freelance musician. I look forward to keeping it up, and diversifying.

I’m really good at

Being ruthlessly objective.

Dissecting social minutiae.

Putting things in perspective.

Giving advice.

Breaking up long term goals into smaller ones.

The first things people usually notice about me

It depends, they'll often notice they're being screwed with in some way. I love getting a rise out of people, and keeping it going until it collapses on itself. I don't do it maliciously, even though I have a really dark sense of humor.

Some people think I have a little bit of an ego. Those people are weak.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Food: Vegan/Vegetarian obviously. Seitan rules my life.

Music: Early Genesis, Frank Zappa, Michael Hedges, early Dream Theater. King Crimson, a little bit of jazz but not huge.

Movies: The Shawshank Redemption is my favorite. I recently saw An Unreasonable Man and Who Killed the Electric Car? I highly recommend both.

The six things I could never do without

Dreams
Values
Laughs
Challenges
Losses
Victories

I spend a lot of time thinking about

How to better myself inter-personally, musically, as a business person. How to be a better citizen, or how to diminish my carbon footprint. How I could have better handled a situation, why someone else handled it differently, which way is better. How being aware of something is the first step. How only thinking about something is insufficient.

On a typical Friday night I am

Cackling in the backseat of a police car.

Or bar hopping, live music, I could just be at home practicing. Catching up on House and the Daily show can also be quite delicious.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I only use my powers for good.
