My self-summary
Disclaimer: I am neither vegan nor a velociraptor.

If you are into taking long walks for no reason please message me.

I am complex, but not complicated. My interests and activities vary greatly, and it's very difficult to place me into a subculture, group or clique.

I am very passionate about the diversity of species, spices, equality, biogeography and great literature.

I enjoy hanging out with people of every age, gender and walk of life so long as they are good people. I am happily married to primatology and would love to meet friends or someone who would like to date me or us.

I am a GGG, sex-positive person who believes in the fluidity of sexuality and its expression. The guiding forces for my life are compassion, understanding and kindness. I am convinced that the more we let go of our insecurities and prejudice the better society will be.

TL/DR: Smart, kind, loving, sex positive. Mostly harmless.
What I’m doing with my life
Living the fascinating life of an immigrant in NYC. I work with children with learning disabilities; I teach them how to write and improve their communication skills. Occasionally, I work at a petting zoo and I volunteer for the NYC Beekeeping Association. That's the basic stuff, the rest is to be learned through conversation.

The first things people usually notice about me
I'm foreign but they could never guess where I am from.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Yes. I also like poetry.

Movies: My favorite movie makers range from Ingmar Bergman to Ray Harryhausen. I love the best and worst of cinema. I hate the in-betweens.

Shows: I'm really bad at watching TV. I've heard of the famous shows and have even seen some of them; but if most of your conversations start with: "Did you see the episode of [show] in which [event or situation] happens?" I won't be able to follow.

Music: I love music and hate talking about it, everyone is snobbish and judgmental. I just pay attention when people talk about music, then I go home and listen to their favorites. This is how I get to know new and amazing music.

Food: Absolutely. I love to cook and bake. I am passionate about cuisine as a form of art. I am a big fan of great coffee, craft beer, and fine food, but will enthusiastically go for a double cheeseburger and root beer if the day calls for it.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
"I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth."
-Umberto Eco

Evolution, especially the evolution of humans and social insects.

How Kurt Vonnegut seems to understand morality and compassion so much better than most, if not all, religious leaders.

How can I use my knowledge and skills to make the world a better place?

Quienes somos, lo que nos duele, la injusticia y la esperanza que moldean mi pensamiento político.
