I moved to Chicago in August of last year and love the city. I am somewhat of a foodie and have really enjoyed exploring the restaurant scene in Chicago. After trying the top rated burgers in town, my favorite is Butcher and the Burger. Give it a try! I have a few great recommendations for Italian, Indian, Cuban and Spanish cuisine too.

I live in the downtown area and love it. I consider myself a light hearted, witty person who looks at life in a positive manner. I'm sophisticated but not stuffy, am very loyal and like to spend time in conversation with my significant other and on occasion, quiet time together. I like to go dancing (I'm currently taking Swing dance lessons and having a blast). Once you get to know me, you will find that I can occassionally be a little goofy (in a fun way) and that I am an overall a happy person.

I enjoy the theater and cultural attractions, but also like to stay in for a lazy day. I love to travel, Paris is a favorite spot, although i really want to explore Italy next. I am an avid reader of many different genres and I am in the beginning stages of writing a book.

I would love to find an intelligent, independent woman. I have always been attracted to a good laugh and a sense of humor. I am not interested in a lot of drama. In addition to the above, If you are sweet, affectionate, caring and have a good outlook on life, then I would love to meet you. Tough question! I have read hundreds of books. For business the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, the Malcolm Gladwell books, Freakonomics and many more. The Power of Now is a good one to help you enjoy life more. Jane Austin is great. In the Sci-Fi/Fantasy world, the Ender's Game series and A Song of Ice and Fire are outstanding. Not quite in the same league, but fun were the Hunger Games and Twilight books.

My music taste is pretty eclectic, but I tend to gravitate to classic rock like the Beatles, Rolling Stones and the old crooners like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. That being said, I enjoy many of the latest hits too.
