Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a vegetarian computer guy who loves dogs and all animals for
that matter. I'm lucky enough to have a wide circle of friends that
likes social activities, sports (watching and playing), and
outdoorsy stuff like cycling and backpacking. I don't take myself
or life (or online dating profiles) too seriously. I'll do things
to mess with people (some of you have already gotten messages) but
it's always in fun. I'm definitely the guy who wants to push the
button because there's a sign saying don't push the button. I can
be forgetful; it's all in there but apparently my filing system is
terrible. Also I'm forgetful.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
When I'm not working for a big tech company I play softball, watch
the Falcons & Braves, or just hang at the pub. I'm planning a
trip to Peru to see Machu Picchu this summer. And I'm doing my part
for animals to be happier along the way.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm lucky enough to like my job so I like to think I'm pretty good
at it. I'm adapting to corporate environment. You might even say
that this profile is a living document and a 20,000ft view of me. I
have an action item on that. I like to think that I can see the
positive side of people and situations. I've even been called Mr.
Brightside. I'm good grammar and seplling too.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My sense of humor is very silly so I like slapstick movies and
shows like The Office and Airplane! Of course Die Hard is the
greatest movie ever made but that goes without saying. I also am
fascinated by science videos on Youtube like Minute Physics. Lately
I've been into 70's music especially disco. I saw Guster when they
were here. I also like Interpol and Phoenix. For food I don't eat
meat but I like pretty much everything else. Indian and Chinese
food are some of my favorites.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My dogs, my friends, traveling, chatting at the pub, my softball
team, and coffee.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The funny side of things. Not taking life too seriously. How I can
entertain myself on so many useless conference calls. The quirks of
OKCUpid: Why does my profile get visits from women in far-away
cities? Do women with paragraphs and bulleted lists of demands get
messages? Why do people in open relationships always start with a
bit about how secure the relationship is? ...and many many more.
But hey if nothing else it's entertaining.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It varies widely and I like that: dinner with friends, Martinis
& IMAX, camping trip, party with friends, hanging with the
regulars at the pub, an outdoor festival (Saturday really I know),
dinner with the family, taking the dogs to the dog park, going to
Target with my neighbor, a Braves game, or just sitting at home
watching the boob tube.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Tina Turner is my private dancer.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Not a mandatory or exhaustive list but it's a starting point:
You're fun, silly, sarcastic, easy-going, drama-free, outdoorsy,
and you can get behind most of what's in my profile. I'd like a
"partner in crime" for activities, trips, and adventures.
Or if you are a millionairess on death's doorstep then never mind
all of that.
