I don't read all that much, but I have been known to knock out a book or two while on vacation. Favorite authors include Clive Cussler, Michael Crichton, & Dan Brown. *Update* Just read The Secret Race, A Dog in a Hat, My time, Deception Point, and Why are you Atheists so Angry. Its been a good last four months for reading...
I have had a Netflix account since 2004 and enjoy a wide variety of movies and generally trust the suggestions made by the site. Some favorites are Limitless, Pulp Fiction, A Few Good Men, Amadeus, Bull Durham, Godfather, Silence of the Lambs, Blood in Blood Out, Invincible, Seven, Fight Club, etc.
The Wire, Entourage, United States of Tara, Sons of Anarchy, Burn Notice, Family Guy, How I met your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Breaking Bad, House M.D., Shameless, Californication, The League, etc
A little bit of everything. Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Tool, Linkin Park, Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, Immortal Technique, Dr. Dre, Aerosmith, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Resination, Bob Marley, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Maroon 5, Megadeath, Reel Big Fish, Eminem, Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, etc.
I was a really picky eater as a kid but have been much more adventurous over the last decade and am will to try most things at least once. That being said, I love Mexican food, preferably from small family owned "hole in the wall" restaurants, sushi, anything with bacon, pizza, steaks, and starting to really enjoy salads as long as they don't contain tomatoes, I still hate those things...
BBQ - When it comes to outdoor cooking, there is the right way (Charcoal) and the wrong way (gas). Cooking with gas is cheating; it’s like staying in an RV and calling it camping. You might as well be baking it in the oven. Charcoal on the other hand is more primitive. There is nothing more satisfying than grilling a big old ribeye over a pile of red-hot coals.
Dogs - When I say dog, I mean something that weights at least 50 pounds. I have had dogs most of my life (German Shepherds) and don't see a future without one
Cycling - If you were wondering what my username was about here you go. I am an avid cyclist and generally ride between 120-180 miles a week.
Whiskey - It is by far my favorite spirit. More specifically, I like Single Malt Scotch’s from Islay (Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Ardbeg, Caol Ila, etc.) I use to drink Tequila back in college but now the smell just turns my stomach.
Beer - I am not talking about something that comes in a can and looks like piss (Coors light comes to mind)... I am talking about beer with bold hoppy flavor, comes in dark brown glass bottles and has an alcohol content that rivals what you find in wine. I am talking about IPA's and their big brothers Double IPA's. Mmmm
